Playing a record is a bit of a ritual for me as Im sure it is for many of you. This adds another step to the ritual that makes it all the more satisfying. If the felt on your platter is good quality with enough grip, I dont really think this product to be necessary in most cases. The only instances when it seems beneficial is if you have a slightly warped record or if the pressing is cheap/light weight. The extra weight from this product can flatted a warped record and stop a light weight one from dragging. But if you have a dragging record, youve also got quality issues with your stylus or your record player altogether. Once again, I think it is a nice, but not a necessary addition to my setup.

8oz is a good weight. Cutouts make it easy to handle. Its a good looking stabilizer that is very well built. Love it. Low profile will fit under most, if not all dust covers.

Good quality but a little bit too big for Project Turntable as I can not close the lid with it on.

Upgrade record weight stabilizer. Hudson HI-FI improves P1 Rega sound quality. You don’t really hear hum or audible hiss playing records.

Ok, so if you read other reviews here you might see where customers are saying they don’t notice a sound difference. BUT... if you have a good turntable and system you WILL notice a difference. My system already sounded fantastic, but as most vinyl lovers know, if your record isn’t Totally flat, sometimes the needle will vibrate, causing issues with sound in many different ways. This weight eliminates that completely! I coupled this weight with a new Hudson HiFi acrylic platter mat and now I don’t have to turn the bass down on my records that have Slight warpage. Also, I Do notice a more consistent very detailed and solid sound from my turntable. If you ever experience vibration from your turntable, I Highly recommend this weight. I love Hudson HiFi products! Such quality merchandise and you can really tell they are true vinyl lovers!

Hi, I am a musician living in Nashville, and while I have been into vinyl since the 70’s up until now I was indifferent to the nuances. That has all changed as I have Fallin down the rabbit hole.... Ha....., just picked up a cork mat and weight (little). The difference on my Denon 300f is amazing. Thanks!!!! Steve

Inexpensive as far as record weights go. Noticeable improvement in bass. Great with acrylic plate. Cons: I cannot use the dust cover while playing records any longer due to the height of the weight, which is probably not a great idea in he first place, but i have my reasons!

Quality is excellent, speedy delivery. Ive been an avid audiophile and videophile spanning over four decades. My 5000+ record collection is benefiting immensely. My Linn turntalble, Akito arm and Linn cartridge already create a nice synergy. The missing link was the lack of a nice machined and heavy record weight. After using leather cement to bond the leather cut out to the base of the weight, placing it over the spindle in the perfectly centered hole. The weight of the clamp assures that the record bonds to the platter which resultantly lowers the noise floor. This opens the soundstage, and the inky black background created by this bond, allows the quiet higher register nuances of the recording to shine. Vast improvement to an already nice sounding table. Id always had clamps which, when purchasing my high end turntables from American turntable manufacturer, VPI. MY budget LINN rig is producing 90% of the high quality reproduction of treasured vinyl that Ive collected since 1967. 90?% of the quality I achieved with a budget table and it almost competes with a rig that retailed for 23k. Not bad at all. If you are like me and love the romanticism of kicking back in a dimly lit room and the record fills the dark room with music and you close your eyes and drift away along with the troubles we often find in modern life. Sheer bliss. Buy this clamp!

I got a few double albums that were warped and this worked perfectly! The grooves on the sides makes it easy to take off and put on the turntable. The leather on the base doesnt scuff up the label. I didnt notice a difference on speed when using it either. Arrived in one day and nicely packaged. Very happy with this purchase.
