> 3 dayPlaying a record is a bit of a ritual for me as Im sure it is for many of you. This adds another step to the ritual that makes it all the more satisfying. If the felt on your platter is good quality with enough grip, I dont really think this product to be necessary in most cases. The only instances when it seems beneficial is if you have a slightly warped record or if the pressing is cheap/light weight. The extra weight from this product can flatted a warped record and stop a light weight one from dragging. But if you have a dragging record, youve also got quality issues with your stylus or your record player altogether. Once again, I think it is a nice, but not a necessary addition to my setup.

> 3 dayPurchased this item new and upon opening it there was some type of tarnish or corrosion on it. Wont even risk an exchanged based on other comments of this issue. In addition, the chrome finish has bubbles in various places on the weight. Sadly disappointed and will order from a different company. Its cheap Made in China craftsmanship.

> 3 dayI am so happy I bought this. I was having an issue with my old pioneer turntable. The platter seems to slip sometimes. I will have it restored one day. However I added this weight and that issue is gone. On top of that it helps maintain the RPM’s. Overall it’s just a solid, well built necessity for your turntable. I feel like you get a better spin with the record. It holds everything down nice and sturdy to allow the needle to travel much more stable. I love it.

> 3 dayOn a cheap kit, this makes a difference! I have a typical Crosley turntable that I’ve modified with insulation, completely different stylus, etc., and I can tell you the weight is definitely helping to preserve some of the low-mid range on what’s typically lost due to vibration with this unit. Granted, it makes the motor hum a little which raises other concerns, but this weight is great for louder more upbeat albums where the record is trying to pump through a lot of low and mid range at the same time.

> 3 dayDevice looks great, well made. That being said I cannot hear any difference and it certainly does not help warped disks. To take care of warped vinyl all you need is some weight, I use red bricks, to place on top of a stack of records for about 4 days and problem is solved. Vinyl is tough and plays like new. The idea isnt mine but from the web.

> 3 dayLove it! Really does a great job of coupling the record to the platter, especially on older albums that have warped slightly. Oh, it also looks fantastic on the table!

> 3 dayI have tried 4 record weights and 2 record clamps (see photo), ranging from 7 oz to 22 oz, and this 8 oz weight from Hudson HiFi, known as the Space Ben, is by far the most accurate sounding, meaning it’s unique design is doing its job of stabilizing the record on the platter and isolating it from unwanted vibrations. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayPretty solid stabilizer. Sits nicely on your LP, well built and good looking. Simple look and color. Nothing flashy and over the top
