Keeps my 3 year old granddaughter in the house! She has it almost figured out but lacks the strength and hand size to open it! I use it even if she is not here.. It feels safe knowing the door handle can’t be turned from the outside..

Install upside down (from what the instructions say). This will make it so you dont have to lock it as long as the children cannot lift up the handle.

I received 2 in the box. I used one for my front door and the other for my balcony door to keep my autistic son from getting any flight risk notions! It sticks good, it’s never came off. He’s resistant to fleeing due to the attachment holding the door knob in place, preventing it from releasing the lock.

My door knob handle must be closer to the door than other levers because there was no way I could apply this mechanism without turning it at a 45⁰ angle, otherwise the knob could not be pulled down to open the door. I didnt realize that the first time I applied it and had to rip it off the wall which pulled paint off (oops! Shouldve used floss or fishing wire instead to gently scrap the mechanism off). That said, it works! It doesnt look pretty since I have to keep it at an angle, but it does the job well and sticks to the door very well.

The adhesive was not strong enough but a roll of gorilla tape seemed to do the trick! Smart animals can be escape artists.
