The adhesive was not strong enough but a roll of gorilla tape seemed to do the trick! Smart animals can be escape artists.

Very sturdy and so helpful to keep my front door from being opened by toddlers.

We had 4 of these in our apartment to keep our toddler out of certain rooms. They worked AMAZING; however, they did end up taking the paint off with them when I removed them last week. I did the blow dryer and floss method as recommended and it still didnt work. Just a FYI!

My door knob handle must be closer to the door than other levers because there was no way I could apply this mechanism without turning it at a 45⁰ angle, otherwise the knob could not be pulled down to open the door. I didnt realize that the first time I applied it and had to rip it off the wall which pulled paint off (oops! Shouldve used floss or fishing wire instead to gently scrap the mechanism off). That said, it works! It doesnt look pretty since I have to keep it at an angle, but it does the job well and sticks to the door very well.

I like this product because it does exactly what its supposed to do. My cat always jumps on the door handle and is able to knock the door open but this product completely stops that. My only gripe shouldnt be one but it is, I have to use two hands to unlock and that can be difficult when only having one hand available. I think I have big hands but take of it what you will.

Bought this for an elderly friend whose cat kept opening her apartment door and escaping (yes he even figured out how to push the unlock button!) This has worked perfectly to solve the problem! No more going out and catting around!

These work great for our doors handles. They took only minutes to install and they adhere very well. We have been using these for months now and they stay in place. Best thing is that at 4 1/2 years old, my grandson has not figured out how to open the locks of this pretty simple design. We have a slider door to the deck from the primary bedroom and he can open the locked slider so we needed a way to keep him out of the bedroom all together. These locks work!
