works like a boss. i oil before each use generally but not always. oiling before use helps with maximum stuck fastener release breaking force

This gun is great. I had my matco gun for a while when I got this it was a little heavy compared to the matco gun but felt great in my hand. I wasn’t sure if I should of gotten the quiet model but I did and it takes getting used to. Great power and I love the color of the handle it doesn’t show dirt or grease from my hands.

Stronger then the snap on gun

This impact gun is awesome, easily has more power than any of my co-workers snap on guns. This thing is quiet as in the hammer hitting the anvil is louder than the gun operating. Alll of this and its still lighter than anything else Ive fiddled with. This is a deffinite buy!!!

Love this gun! been very dependable for the time Ive had it, and theres nothing it cant do, for way cheaper than the competitors! also like how lightweight and quiet it is.

this thing lacks power right out of the box. i thought maybe i just had a defected unit so i sent back and got another. the 2nd one is just the same. the restrictions is in the filter for the quiet operation. you would have to remove the filter for it to work correctly but then it would defeat the purpose of buying a quiet version. i ending up returning both and bought the non quiet version as ingersol is a reputable name brand.

I bought this back in Dec. 2020 in used-acceptable condition from Amazon Warehouse. It isnt something I use frequently and in fact never took it out of the box to use until today... May 17, 2022.... to use on a brake job. After watching a couple reviews about how to operate it and how to maintain it I ordered the oil/grease kit. Today I added some oil per the instructions and set to work. Made it through 8 lug nuts and it started blowing air at the joint between the nut and the body... not through the air nipple I installed, but in the tool itself. Then I noticed that one of the four screws holding the anvil to the body fell out. Of course now Im sure Im out of luck because the return window closed, but the fact is I received a defective tool and Amazon should step up and fix the problem. Bummer as the tool gets great reviews everywhere. UPDATE- I reached out to Ingersoll Rand directly and they replaced the tool with a brand new unit that works perfectly. Their customer service was very responsive throughout the process and kept me informed. I would buy from them again.

I had my last Ingersoll Rand impact for 20 years, I am expecting to get that out of this one, if not Ill be back to amend my rating to 4 stars. Extremely powerful and light, this impact wrench is a great addition to any shop. It is a little louder than I had anticipated but not obnoxious and there is a quiet version of it. See you in 20 years.
