This impact gun has loads of power, it’s quiet (I have the “q” quiet version), it’s light and feels great in the hand. These guns will last for 7 years if you grease them occasionally and oil daily. Great reliable guns.

I am an hobbiest mechanic. I have 3 jeeps I maintain and a car. I do gear instals and suspension builds on the side, occasionally. Have been using/struggling with an old Handed-down CH impact for years. It finally gave up the ghost. I bit the bullet and spent a little extra on this impact. I used for the 1st time today to change over four 8 lug rimmed tires. I swear I thought it was broken at 1st because it barely makes any noise and sure seems like it is barely working. That was furthest from the trurh. With my old impact I would have to break the lugs loose 1st with my four-way lug wrench. Then the impact could move the next. When installing notes I used to have to check all of them afterwards it makes for there were tight enough come out by hand. Did a test on how tight it gets the lugs; on number 3 out of 4 it gets lugs as tight or tighter than I can get with my 4 way wheel lug wrench. Pretty sure this thing will last me the rest of my life. Very happy where the purchase. As an added bonus, I tested out Its efficiency by using the onboard air compressor system in my Jeep.. With my old impact, this was pointless; I wouldnt power the gun. With this new gun, it works as well as when its hooked up to my shop compressor. This impact is super powerful and super efficient at the same time!

This is a great tool I am really enjoying the power it has. I dont have to go and get the bigger 3/4 drive gun anymore. So far I have not had any issues with this gun. I am a sawmill millwright and we need tools that will last and do the job they are made for and then some.

Great impact. Never had a problem yet and takes of anything I need it to. I love this gun and use it all day long. Oil everyday and she’s good to go

Have used for daily use as a heavy line mechanic and extremely happy have tested against tool truck competitors and it hasn’t been beaten yet. Love this gun and all of my IR air tools will purchase again if the one i have wears out (work with guys who have had theres for years and still are going strong)

Money doesn’t speak volumes for this. I take Honda crank bolts out no problem with this. You need a rusty bolt out? No problem! This thing doesn’t sweat at all. I like this product a lot.

Im 54, and been a mechanic since 1986. Ive bought and used up to ten 1/2 inch impacts. I own almost, every type of pneumatic tool. I own Mac, Snap On, Matco, , CP, Craftsman, I R. Ive found in my experience , that the Ingersoll rand impacts seem to out live most others. I personally like the IR231, for its value, and its built like a tank. This newer Ingersoll, ive only had for less than a year. But I love the power, and I like its light weight. I dont know how long it will last, or if its built like a tank. But you can buy two of these to one Mac or one Snap on.. You choose...
