> 3 dayThe single core speed for this chip is insane. About 20% increase. As you may know, this chip has hybrid architecture. 6 “Performance” Cores and 4 “Efficient” Cores. The top 12900K has 8 Performance 8 Efficient Cores. The 12900K is way hot, and intel souped this processor up to barely beat the Ryzen 5950x but with a lot more heat generated. Keep in mind the 5950 is $799 compared to $579, but Intels is way more inefficient and hot.

Greater than one weekThe money spent and what it can do, Im surprise that its at this low cost for what it can do. Have no problem what so ever! You cant go wrong with this CPU!

> 3 dayBe careful with what motherboard you get as some do not seem to support it’s overclocking as well as others so keep an eye out and do your research!

> 3 dayI recently built an 15 12600k system and it has plenty of ups and downs. I dont see any of the downs being the fault of the chip or Intel. Most of the issues I have experienced with the new system (and there have been many), have to do with the motherboard or ddr5. I upgraded from a i7 4770k I had on a 24/7 4.8ghz overclock for 7 years. The new I5 is CLEARLY faster in both single and multi threaded performance. Like many I experience many errors in the windows 11 event viewer usually something to do with an efficiency core. At the end of the day I dont see any real world effects on performance, and even microsoft says to ignore these errors.

> 3 dayLove Intel. It is hard to explain. You have to feel it to understand.
