> 3 dayThe i5-12600K offers great performance for its price, although with the release of the 13600K, it may not be that good value. Gaming at 1440p is fine with this CPU, and productivity is great.

Greater than one weekIve been using my old 4th gen i5 4690k for almost a decade, paired with a GTX 960 and then an RTX 3060 it was capable of mid-high settings for games like Arma 3, Dying Light, DayZ, 7DTD. Following some driver issues, I decided to put together a new pc with new i5 12600k and MSI MAG b660.

> 3 dayUserBenchmark favors intel for some reason. They would have you believe the 12600k is around 20% better than the 5600x, but watch CPU reviews on Youtube and youll see individual gaming benchmarks puts them at the same performance but with the 5600x using half the power consumption. Additionally, the motherboards for the 12600k can cost over twice as much as that of the 5600x ones.
