> 24 hourThis is a good backpack. However I thought it was like another I was replacing after 4 years that has an actual designated zippered pocket for the laptop. The one I have has 3 large compartments. This only has two. Inside one of the large ones is a sleeve to hold a laptop in place. While it’s still functional and will be used, it is not what I had hoped for.

> 24 hourWe had ordered another backpack prior to ordering this. It looked great, but was too small. I chose this backpack by reviews and reputation. We ordered the black and the insides are white which was a bad choice in my opinion The interior is this and does not have great pencil etc storage like his previous backpacks. It seems to have a laptop pouch with no protection. The zippers are a bit awkward as other reviews have stated. It is a lot to do with the covering lip that goes over them which is great for protection, but may not be great for kids who get material caught in zippers. It is a bit smaller than I thought, but does hold my sons 2 inch binder a lot of previous backpacks do not have a wide enough opening so this was a plus. My older son came home with the same backpack that was black, but white on the front. It was dirty looking on the white he said it does not clean well, but he has a few years and somewhat happy with it. My biggest complaint at this time would be the white thin inside material just why would you do this and it needs to be more obvious that it has white inside. It reminds me of an old cheap purse lining. I imagine it will show pen marks etc and be hard to clean stains, but we will see. The handle on the top is so so and comfort padding for straps and back seem somewhat lacking. He has only carried a couple of weeks so I will try to remember to update this review.

> 24 hourIf you are looking for a sturdy backpack that I large enough to avoid being too heavy in your back and shoulders (granted you don’t stuff it till it’s busting) and big enough to have space and room for things, then this is for you. It has multiple pockets and compartments making it simple to store notebooks, a laptop, essential items like wallet and keys, etc. The straps are adjustable too. It works great for school!

> 24 hourIve always recognized the JanSport backpacks as good quality because they are strong, cary heavy books well and repel the water well too. I bought this one here to replace the one that Ive been using since my senior year in high school back in 93 which literally looked worn out and faded from its original navy blue color but still carried books well. The difference in this back pack to the one from 93 is that it has many more extra bags or spaces which I use for my 13 laptop and its power cord, a small speaker, small first aid kit, my reading and sun glasses, small note pads and many pens and markers. Ive only had it for four months but think it will last for years like the one from 1993.
