I purchased two of these for my granddaughters. They were very excited and have played and played with them. These are not toys and are made of good quality bamboo and paper for the umbrella part. I was a little concerned about little fingers getting pinched but that has not happened. These would be good with a costume but I would not say practical for any raining situation.

Its cheaply made and will last if your careful for a Halloween costume! I wouldnt bring it up and down many times, a fear it will break. Will not last in the wind, its for in door use. Its perfect for a one night of fun and maybe and I mean maybe last a few times more?

The quality is very nice and this seems to be of sturdy construction. The end where the umbrella is attached to the handle is awkwardly covered with a little piece of pink cloth and this is the only reason it didnt get 5 stars.

I ordered 4 red umbrellas for a photoshoot with my bridesmaids. I received 4 hot pink umbrellas. Aside from the color these were good umbrellas. New, came in plastic wrap and opened up and pretty. But pretty in pink, not red like I had ordered so I didnt use them :(

Nice, sturdy umbrella. Great addition to Chinese costume. Unfortunately the painting stained the fabric. Moreover the handle is scratched. No big problem, but still...

Very pretty parasol. I ordered 4 to use for a dance. They have held up better than expected through rehearsal and performances this spring. I might note that they were used by adult dancers, not children. Not sure the would last if used by youngsters. I bought 4 thinking we might need replacements by showtime but that was not the case. Fortunate because the fourth one has still not arrived, with programs in two venues behind us and just one still coming up this week.

Its made of very cheap material, if youre looking for something simple.. this is the right product. The red cap that is shown in the picture fell off immediately when I took it out of the packaging. I had to hammer a small nail into the side of it to keep it in place.

The umbrella was cute and goes well with the room decor, but i realize a black umbrella will go much better Im returning it to purchase a black one

Summary: Sturdy, classy appearance for the price. Shipped on time. Several small problems that do not effect how the product functions. _____________ I wanted a cheap, but classy parasol for my Kaylee (Firefly) cosplay, and this was perfect! Of course, it wasnt her signature rainbow swirl parasol, but I was told by several people that it made clear who I was cosplaying as. I needed it within 6 business days, so I ordered it for extra money, since I couldnt figure out where it was coming from, and therefore be able to even guess whether or not it would arrive on time. It was delivered the day before my deadline, which I am very glad about. As for the product itself...better than I expected for the price! Pros: The flowers on top appear to be hand painted-on, giving it an at-a-glance-homemade look. Surprisingly sturdy, and moderate in size. A fairly pleasant pink. Not so fancy or expensive that you feel the need to be careful with it. Arrived on time. (with expedited shipping at checkout: 5 business days, I think, from Ohio to Wisconsin) Cons: The wood of the handle is sort of streaky or blotchy, almost as though it was stained wood and they missed a few spots. There is a pop-out part in the handle to hold the parasol all the way open, and it was such a ragged piece of wood that, the first time I noticed it, I thought Id broken the handle. (I didnt really care, however, after I realized what it really was; in fact, it proved useful, it just doesnt look great if you take a closer look.) The top center part is a garish red, and clashes with the rest of the parasol.

When the sun begins to get intense pop this open and enjoy. SO pretty, easy to use. DO NOT manhandle under any circumstance to avoid the risk of breaking. It has a pretty nice built.
