This is a massive bag. It has all sorts of little compartments to put things. The only thing I dont like about it is the zippers seem loose and are constantly opening. Maybe mine is the anomaly. Overall, its a decent enough bag aside from the zippers slipping open sometimes.

This is a terrific backpack . It has plenty of pockets for gear and seems very substantial. If ever needed I would buy another one .

Took this on a ten day trip and now using daily. Dont use the mesh side pockets for anything if you dont want to loose them. I lost a small water bottle. Mosquito repellent. Glasses case. The really cheap slide on case. After that I learned, nothing goes there. I was not in a area for pick pockets, (hiking) so they simply fell out and I didnt notice. For shipping, the bag is folded up severely which causes issues with the zipper(s) at the bend point. I have not trusted my laptop in there yet because the zipper has already become undone. Wasnt even packed fully. I was able to get them working again. A heat gun with gloves will help straighten the bend in the zipper. The compartments are numerous however IMO many of them cannot hold items more than 1.5 inches thick. (Not talking about the large compartment) The mesh in the back works great in 95° summer heat while hiking. I did use the sunglasses strap and it worked great. Would love an adjustable sternum strap. I made my own which improved hiking significantly. Didnt have to keep adjusting the shoulder straps. The material inside has started to stretch a bit and shows wear signs from lifting the handle. Same for the battery compartment where I have a 26800 pack. I think other than my iPad, blood pressure machine and cuff, those might be the heaviest things I carry. The unit also had a false positive for explosives once through an airport, but cleared all the other times through. No idea on that one. It will fit under an airline seat if not stuffed too much. I am not at a point where I feel need a replacement yet but suspect will get there before the warranty is up. I feel with some quality improvements this would be an outstanding value.

Updated 1/12/23: a couple days after I posted my original review, the company reached out to resolve the issue. They offered a full refund or a replacement backpack. My son opted for the replacement because he really does love the design of the backpack. The replacement arrived a couple days later, and the company followed up to ensure it was received. I have to applaud their outreach and support for their customers. I raised my score to a 4 because I can’t yet speak to the durability of the new bag, but I’m super pleased with how the seller handled the issue and thought it would be helpful for others to know how they stand by their product and support their customers. I was waiting to write a review to see if this bag would hold up as I had hoped it would. Unfortunately it didn’t. The space, compartments, and design of this bag is great, and my son loved it as his school bag since we purchased in the end of September 2022, but by mid-December 2022, the seam on the strap has ripped, and I suspect he’ll be down to one working strap soon. In the past, I’ve gotten backpacks through a company that offers lifetime guarantees of their products, but when he outgrew the last one, I took a chance on this bag after reading reviews about its durability, and I’m sorry to say it was a mistake.

Ive used this bag for travel, but I mostly use it to tote my ginormous laptop to and from my classroom! I found I was having shoulder pain from carrying around the 20 pound dinosaur laptop provided by the school. I had a Teacher Tote, which was cute, but my shoulders couldnt handle the weight anymore. I found this bookbag and I love it! Do I look like one of my students now? Yes. Do I care? Nope! Until my school system provides updated computers, Ill be toting this bag around! ;)

I took this for two weeks to another country where I needed my phone to work all day and night etc. It did everything it was supposed to do and more. I would recommend this especially if you have a laptop youre carrying round with you. It fits everything and offers good protection for most things.

This was a great choice for my last trip to Florida. The laptop was extremely easy to access and the backpack held A LOT of stuff and was still comfortable to carry. Very sturdy and great for traveling. Would definitely purchase this again!
