This is a solid product. The base is heavy enough that its not moving unless you put in effort. The magnets that keep the arms in place are strong. 10/10, reccomend and would buy again if I lost this in a fire or something because it seems like it will outlive me.

Works great, magnetic arms held securely to base. Can actually pick up base with them. The moveable magnetic arms can be in any location on base is a huge advantage for positioning work. Works great for small boards and large board work. Unit comes with several arms. Arms allow work item to held in any position and locked in place. When every think locked down your work piece wont move on base. I have the 11×17 base is very heavy with rubber feet doesnt move around on table. Easy to clean solder and rosin off the base with alcohol without marking up the surface. Best third hand tool I ever used or ever found. Well worth the money wish I had this for last 30 yrs. It makes working on electronic boards and items so much easier and speeds up process. Third hand tool would be great for modelers also.

This is one of those products that you dont realize you needed until you start using it. Huge workspace, and the magnetic bases on the clamps are very secure.

I purchased this 2 or 3 years ago - and most of the times when I try to use it Im greatly annoyed in how small the alligator clips are - AND THERE IS ONLY ONE SIZE. The clips are really made to hold something less than .25 inches thick - much larger than that and you have to really open the jaws (and thats not easy) - and now because of the steep angle of the jaws (for larger thicknesses) its not a secure connection. Want to hold something that .5 inches? Forget about it. The alligator clips (at least on the ones I received) feel very cheap - and the small rubber sleeves they put on to cover the teeth of those cheap over the counter alligator clips look like they would easily slide off. The vendor should at least provide an options for somewhat larger clips. The most important part of this entire device is where it fails. Absolute 100% garbage if you are trying to hold anything much more than a quarter of an inch. How this thing gets SO many favorable reviews and hardly any bad ones is one of lifes mysteries...

This work station is a great concept. Its made of painted steel and is the perfect size for all of my electrical repairs and automotive builds. I especially like the hands free holding clips as there is enough of them to handle 90% of most projects. Great concept and good design. The solder drops dont see to chip the paint either.. No cons so far. Everything works great.

Disappointed to find all this corrosion, and had eaten up the black plastic at the bottom of the extra hands. When I broke them free the magnet didnt come off. I can still use it, but with 2-hands gone. The lesson here, dont store the extra hands to close together, spread them out.
