> 3 dayWow! This thing is heavy, solid, and works great. I have added a light to the original set of hands (same company sells the magnifier light as the bench). Being able to move the hands into where I need them, and bend them without the entire contraption falling over is a heaven-sent gift. The magnets attaching the arms are very strong - they hold up small objects with ease. I am SO TIRED of the cheaper helping hands that seemed determined to fail in every way possible. I literally threw out several cheaper sets that just didnt work. NO ONE who works with small pieces that need soldering or gluing should be without one of these. Period. Putting the inventor up for a Noble-Peace-of-Mind prize!

> 3 dayA large piece of steel that is painted yellow, and a magnetic holder that attracts magnetic support arms that are used to hold electronic projects. The light should come with it, but you have to buy the light separately. It costs a lot, but it will help me. I can solder anywhere now!

> 3 dayI bought this because its a small American company with a strong sense of quality and usefulness. And boy and I glad I took the chance and didnt get a cheap Chinese knock-off for less. This thing is wonderfully useful, build to last and the base weighs a ton and creates a really stable workstation. I use it for gluing and soldering but actually bought it for macro photography and its the best piece of photo gear Ive added to my studio in ages. I can place different elements anywhere I want and create really amazing bokeh with custom depth of field. Nice to see quality, well-thought products that contribute to our local economy. A win on all levels.

> 3 dayThe biggest issue with this is the adhesive on the rubber feet fails easily, allowing them to come off. Otherwise it does what it is supposed to do.

> 3 dayDisappointed to find all this corrosion, and had eaten up the black plastic at the bottom of the extra hands. When I broke them free the magnet didnt come off. I can still use it, but with 2-hands gone. The lesson here, dont store the extra hands to close together, spread them out.

> 3 dayI purchased this 2 or 3 years ago - and most of the times when I try to use it Im greatly annoyed in how small the alligator clips are - AND THERE IS ONLY ONE SIZE. The clips are really made to hold something less than .25 inches thick - much larger than that and you have to really open the jaws (and thats not easy) - and now because of the steep angle of the jaws (for larger thicknesses) its not a secure connection. Want to hold something that .5 inches? Forget about it. The alligator clips (at least on the ones I received) feel very cheap - and the small rubber sleeves they put on to cover the teeth of those cheap over the counter alligator clips look like they would easily slide off. The vendor should at least provide an options for somewhat larger clips. The most important part of this entire device is where it fails. Absolute 100% garbage if you are trying to hold anything much more than a quarter of an inch. How this thing gets SO many favorable reviews and hardly any bad ones is one of lifes mysteries...

> 3 daySpeedy on shipping and I think this is the 3rd hand that I am looking for. I am very excited about using it in my stained glass adventure. Thank you for inventing such a nice product!

> 3 dayIt’s almost like having 4 hands, between the 6 flexible arms and your own 2 hands. It definitely helps with soldering jobs and the base is a heavy solid piece of steel that doesn’t tip over or move at all when using it. In my opinion a must have when trying to solder multiple wires into connectors wile feeding solder to the solder iron. See what I mean 4 different things going on at once that would be extremely difficult with just 2 hands.

> 3 dayIm so tired of those old little extra hands fragile 2 gator clip plus magnify glass tragedies. This thing is big, heavy, adjustable and STABLE. And now, since I like it so much, the only think I would like added to it is the option for some larger clips on the ends of the goose necks, because Im sure with those it could hold even some bigger items just where I want them. And, of course, that would have NEVER even been conceivable with those old little wobbly gizmos.
