I have upwards of 30 Kasa switches, bulbs and other accessories in my house. They all work AMAZING. I love the app and all the options they keep adding. The smart features and customizability just works flawless. They almost never lose connection and quickly respond to google assistant commands. This is really nice because I can make routines through google home to turn everything off but still have specific items on or off at my desk. I have my work and personal pc, fans, lighting, headset, etc all on different switches. I actually have 2 additional single switches in the same area and they all work great together. Super easy to wall mount and stays put very well. My only gripe is that the main power LEDs on the switch are a bit bright and they dont turn off at all. There is the main switch and 2 others. I hope they allow to turn them of or adjust the brightness in the future. But its not a huge deal as it is under my desk. I just push my chair in front of it at night and its not a bother.

I wanted something that works with smart life. Not that I have anything particular against Kasa, and the only reason I even got THIS one was because I still have a few smart plugs that use the Kasa app. I just got rid of all the proprietary devices that needed their own app since it was such a pain to have half a dozen different programs. Im at the point now where if something isnt controllable via the Smart Life app, I wont buy it. Of course, then came the need for a new 6 plug controllable strip behind a stand where my 120 floor rising projector screen sits, to control my new screen, the new UST projector, a couple subwoofers, etc... This one arrived quick enough, and worked out of the box. Im not a fan of having to connect to the programs wireless to get it seen by the app, but at least it works consistently. I prefer apps that find their devices without going through that step. Each switch came up as its own addressable device, and the integration with Alexa was fine as I already had it set up for the existing Kasa plugs I still use that I havent replaced yet. No issues with the voice control now. Well constructed, solid, no noise of anything rattling around inside like some of the cheaper ones have. I just wish it wasnt quite so pricey, but you get what you pay for and I wanted something that I could trust would work for more than a week or two. My Kasa devices have proven to be very reliable so far so I expect no less from this.

Works great, makes noise off/on, but otherwise very easy to install!

I got this mainly to monitor power drain. Sure, some plugged-into-the-wall devices work to that end, but either you have to scooch down to the outlet to see it, or put it on an extension cord and then its still far too unwieldy. With this, you can just open the Kasa app and see what the wattage is real time, plus see kWh of daily and long term use. Thats just nice. Also just having the switches there on the strip to turn items on and off individually is great. Especially good if you have a computer you like to put into hibernate. The lightest wind gust against the mouse and its right back on again. Not anymore! Heh heh. My only real complaint is that, like a lot of smart devices like (scales, lightbulbs, etc.), it only uses 2.4GHz, not 5GHz. Fine if youre in a house surrounded by nothing, but if youre in an apartment, hoo boy, better make sure youre not sharing WiFi channels with anyone. Theres tools for monitoring whos using what nearby, and as long as you use your own router, changing those settings are easy. Still, idk why they cant use 5GHz. Why do some devices do that? Why do so many still use Micro-B USB plugs/ports? Other than that, I have no complains. Highly recommend.

I started looking at way to understand and control my energy usage after regular $300+ dollar electric bills. I started with the Sense Energy monitor (which I highly recommend). The Sense featured an integration with this Kasa HS300 power strip and the ability to see what each individual outlet is consuming in real time. Once you setup and integrate the Sense and Kasa HS300 you can monitor and understand how much power a device is using and the associated cost (based on your cost of electricity that you configure in the Sense app) over time - This was a key capability for me. The Kasa HS300 itself is very well built and I would highly recommend it as a standalone (without Sense). The HS300 itself does give you access to usage information directly in the Kasa app as well as the ability to turn off individual outlets when the devices connected are not serving a purpose. Lastly, you get six outlets that are individually controlled and offer a view into each discrete outlet from a power usage perspective - this is a significantly more cost effective approach from my use case.
