> 3 dayEasy to connect, easy to use. I’ve use this to control my reef and freshwater tanks and this is the best way to budget without paying premium for an apex/hydros granted there are limitation but for my needs this is perfect. I used it to control my filters, skimmers, lights, return pump, heater you name it. Handles it like a champ. I’ve had this for a little while now and recently learn I can group up devices so I grouped up the filters and powerhead to “feed mode” and all I do is voice control Alexa turn on feed mode and boom it turns off those devices, how cool is that? I like how I can schedule each plug and that I can remotely control it anywhere when I’m out and about. If you planning to use this for aquarium and don’t want to dive into the premium controllers, just buy this.

> 3 dayI use these ALOT. I have no issues so Im not going to detail the obvious. Read other review for the obvious stuff. My review is going to list what I think could be improvements. First the APP is good but not if you have multiple homes. Everything is listed in a single list. So if you have 3 of these you have a long list (3x6) in order to get to what you want to control. The APP supports groups of things to control all at the same time but not segmented by location. Secondly, as a network technician I would love a rack mount version of this device. It makes it hard to have a nice clean install with this thing haphazardly strapped up or hanging down. :Lastly the tiny mounting holes in the back of the unit as too weak to hold all the power cords plugged into this unit. How about some front mount holes with some heft? Just my opinion. I hope TP-Link reads this review and takes some action.

Greater than one weekThis is an excellent power strip. Each plug works. The connection to google/alexa is poor. Approximately once a week each plug on the device goes offline. The workaround seems to be to reset the internet, and then reset each individual outlet, and then reconnect to google. Google says its on kasaa, kasaa says its on Google. I love our dystopian future.

> 3 dayThis is a great, well-made product. Its very easy to setup using the Kasa phone app. The ability to name each plug and attach a photo is a nice touch. But one of the nicest features is the individual power-usage monitoring on each of the 6 outlets. You can easily look at the real-time power usage for each 0lug as well as its daily and monthly usage. 4 stars only because it would be great if it had a power-cycle feature for a plug (useful for when you need to reset power on the wireless router plugged into the device that the device uses to attach to the internet - if you power off the router, there will be no way to power it back on since connectivity is lost). One sort of clumsy work-around is to set a schedule to turn it off for a minute and then back on the next minute.

> 3 daySimple IOT device providing remote of plugged in devices. Quick response through app because of use of wifi. Con that it requires creating an account to use. Haven’t tried controlling from outside the app though. Like feature to monitor run time and power usage.

Greater than one weekInitially connecting it was seamless and serves its purpose. The major design flaw is that when plugged in the direction the plug is oriented it faces backwards/upside down. Very strange design flaw I did not see mentioned by many.

> 3 dayMy entire reef tank runs on this . You can use a Kasa camera as well for live monitor . The energy usage feature is so important as I can monitor the usage as well if a device is functional or not.

Greater than one weekFor some reason the option to turn off the led indicator lights doesnt work and the bright lights are always on. Even in the night.

> 3 dayWhy is it great for tinkerers/homelabs you may ask? Its a power strip thats regularly on sale for $45. You may think thats a lot for a power strip, but once you realize that it has not only INDIVIDUAL CONTROL on each outlet, but also power monitoring on each outlet? Thats an INSANE feature to have. Currently, I have one on a 3D printer. It controls the printer itself, the light, and the monitor (which doesnt always have to be on) - the ability to see a rough estimate (I havent verified the accuracy of the power usage) of the power usage, and integrate with OctoPrint to automatically turn the printer and light on/off is amazing. I ordered a second one to use for the server rack and be able to monitor the power usage of the core network (Modem, Router, Switch) as well as a quick remote reboot for them all. Its plastic, so its not the most sturdy power strip ever. WiFi signal is actually pretty good, never had communication issues with it even when other devices struggle. The firmware is old enough that it can be directly accessed/toggled, though this isnt guaranteed to be the case for long - the smart plug minis have been updated (so I hear) to disable it due to security concerns, who knows if that affects or will be applied to this. Sure, you can get more open ones, or even ones that work better with your setup. But for the price, and the feature set, Id 100% recommend this hidden gem just because it has much more than you expect at first glance. But only on sale, I dont believe its worth the full price of $80.
