Worked nicely at first was able to get setup no issue. However, some plugs lost connection after a few weeks of usage ,so I can no longer control them from the app. Resetting the device doesnt fix the issue. Just note that the device is buggy and you shouldnt plug anything essential into it as it seems prone to fail easily.

I dont use it for any smart home controls, just for electricity usage monitoring. Great for very low wattage monitoring, like standby mode.

I installed a few HS300 strips in the bedroom, living room and office, and when combined with Sense energy monitoring system, I was suprised to discover how much energy some always on devices were unecessarily consuming (TVs, subwoofers, etc) By automating swithing off their plug, only when needed (easy with Alexa), in a few days, I reduced the Always On energy consumption by more than half. See photo. This means that these plugs will pay for themselves in less than a year. Looking forward for additional automations, like switching on/off various plugs (subwoofer, receiver, etc), when the energy consumtion of a selected plug (e.g. TV) is exceeding a certain level (e.g. only when the TV is ON, not OFF or on standby) => feature request submitted, under consideration by developers.

This little gem was a life saver while I was away on a trip. Had all my bearded dragons accessories plugged in to this power strip. I was able to turn lights and heater on and off while I was away.

Didn’t realize it had a built in schedule function. Great for aquarium hobbyists.

I have several of the TP-Link Kasa Smart Plugs and Bulbs in my home, but this was my first power strip. I use it in my kitchen. The Echo is plugged into the USB (which is always on), and my coffeemaker, espresso machine, tea kettle, LED lamp, and SONOS speaker pair are plugged into the six outlets (you can pair outlets in the Kasa app). So. Let me tell you about this thing. Are you like me and forget to turn off your coffeemaker? Well, you can set a Smart Timer to turn off the coffeemaker after an hour! And I know you might be thinking, my machine already has a timer but the thing about that is this: every single device in your home that has an Instant On feature, a display, a clock, or any sort of remote operating capability, is using power all the time. How can you prevent that? Plug it into one of these. My electrical consumption has steadily dropped since I started using these. Obviously, you have to set the timers up to turn stuff off, but if you do, it will save power, and in the long run, money. The build quality is very nice, although I wouldnt go throwing the thing around, obviously. Also, you can monitor each devices power consumption and on time through the Kasa app (as well as through the Alexa app). Speaking of Alexa, if you have one, the devices are detected immediately and work seamlessly. I cant comment on any other personal assistant, because I only have two Echo dots, but they work very well. You wont be disappointed if you get this. The three plug model is also great if you dont need six outlets. I have both.

This thing is AWESOME! A little tricky to set up at first, but if you use a timer for any outlets, you need to get this, it saves so much space. And if you add yhe cost of several timers and a power strip, the cost comes out about the same.

I want to say five... I want to say five!!! I really do! I just cant!! Why not? Because even though I have a dedicated 2.4 ghz network *specifically* set up for my smart home devices (better penetration, less noise than the computers and streaming devices pounding the 5ghz networks) this thing insists on disconnecting two or three times a month! Ok, I admit this I have three and the other two work really well, and this one is not exactly near the base station, so I get that the signal may drop once in a while. The issue is when it does, it doesnt ever reconnect!!! I have to physically unplug it/kill the power, and when it comes back up, it happily reconnects to the network. Why they cant say Hey... .we dropped. Lets automatically try to reconnect! is beyond me, but it is soooo infuriating because it controls my computers external monitors and my KVM so when I kill the power, my desktop goes berserk and needs to all be power-cycled itself. Its so bad I had to install a wired-remote-plug so I could just hit a button switch to kill the power to the strip and reconnect it without having to get out of my chair and climb behind my desk yet again. But its so nice looking, with pleasing colors and a great app and great features! I wanted to give it five stars... I really did! But that damn reconnect issue is just too much. So much so I even considered marking this as a three-star. The only reason I didnt is again, I have three of these and the other two work flawlessly (although they are closer to the router.) Fix the reconnect issue and Ill happily put this back to five. I dont mind it going offline every now and then for a minute or two. I mind that it completely disrupts my work flow when it happens, and the only way to fix it is with the hammer of killing all power, not a screwdriver. So close to being great, but not quite. Cmon TP Link... you can fix this with a firmware upgrade! Just make it automatically try to reconnect!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. Let me start with a review of the seller. I ordered my product as “used - like new”. There’s a certain quality expected with the “like new” title, and this did not live up to it. To start - the plug was sent in its regular product packaging, and wasn’t taped or sealed shut. I was able to open it on my doorstep with one hand. My delivery driver commented on how it wasn’t taped shut. Literally anyone could have opened it and stolen it, there was nothing keeping it closed but the way the box is made. That was it. They could have at least used the shipping label to keep it shut as the literal bare minimum. Next - the plug was NASTY. I’m talking 3 Clorox wipes worth of dirt and grime. There were scuff marks on it and it was sticky and slimes? I mean seriously - there’s a pandemic, you’re listing it as like new. They least you should be doing as a seller is wiping it down and taping the box shut. It was ridiculous. There was dirt in the outlets themselves. The cord was grey (it’s supposed to be white), and there were black marks all over the back. It was just gross. This was far from “like new” and honestly the seller should be ashamed. On to the power strip itself: Fantastic. This thing works so well! I use it to automate my greenhouse and it’s absolutely brilliant. I love that I’m able to track how much energy it’s using, and I’m able to control it with either the SmartThings app or Google Assistant. It makes my life infinitely easier. The flat plug is great too, and the outlets are at 90° so I can fit all my large plugs in without a problem. The 3 always-on usb outlets are great as well. Power strip is a 10/10. Love it. Highly recommend it. This seller is at most a 1/10. Buy from someone else.
