KAVU Rope Bag - Sling Pack for Hiking, Camping, and Commuting

This bad is so cute and very sturdy! The fabric feels almost rough, so Im hoping that it softens up with use! Im tall and fat (all my weight is in my middle), so I was concerned that the strap wouldnt be long enough. Thankfully, it is and still looks super cute! My only complaint is that I wish it could be used on either shoulder like other crossbody bags.

Bought this for my wife on her birthday in November. She uses it everyday and loves the convenience of it. Not only does she like how comfortable it is, but she also loves the pattern.

I love my KAVU bag I love all of my KAVU products. This was my first Amazon purchase of a KAVU rope bag I usually bought at a local store but noticed they were cheaper through Amazon. So shipping was great they put it in my mail box and it was there the first day of expected delivery. The color is a little bit dul in person but other than that looked just like the pictures. Be ready to wash KAVU bags are made for hiking and adventure but they also get dirty easily. It comes with tags attached and MSRP. It is a real KAVU bag no fake offbrands. This bag is perfect because it is light weight and weight isnt all on your shoulder I wore it through my entire college orientation and didnt even notice it. Perfect for me.

Love the bag -- pockets all very convenient. Well designed. What surprises me is the incredible amount of lint that it picks up everywhere. It looks dirty and unkempt all the time -- I have black, so its very noticeable. This is a very disappointing dilemma to an otherwise great bag. I contacted Kavu directly, and they were very responsive. They are aware of the issue, however say that with the bag being cotton, there is not much they can do to prevent it. The design team is aware of the issue. Seems like something they would have tested out prior to release. They suggested purchasing the same bag, however the polyester version. I had hoped to use this bag for both every day use and travel -- however, will need to re-think and see if I want to invest in the polyester bag, on top of already purchasing this one.

Its now been three years since I got this bag and it still looks brand new. Three international vacations, a five month study abroad, and countless hiking trips later and its survived it all. I really cant rave enough about this bag-- its small enough throw across the shoulder without being too heavy while also being big enough to carry exactly what you need for light snacks, water, papers, and even little books. The strap is super durable and the bag has so many pockets to organize the smaller items like your wallet, lip balm, pens. The small pocket on the inside of the large zipper is probably the greatest aspect of using it for travel. Fits a passport and other important documents with ease while also keeping it in a safe place from prying hands.

I love this bag! The colors are vibrant, the material is sturdy, and it’s well constructed. I can fit my phone, small wallet, two cases for glasses, and an iPad easily. The strap is very comfortable.

Perfect for all my things

This is the second one of these bags I have bought. I love it, love it, LOVE IT. I travel a lot and throw it on and forget about it. When I go to a carnival or street fair, I can buy things and stuff an incredible amount in this bag and near feel weighed down or uncomfortable. The only thing it is missing is something to hold the strap down once you adjust it for comfort. I use a hair tie, no problem. And it is very sturdy. The only reason I am buying a second one is because I want to make sure I have a backup should I lose the first one, or if they stop making these in black. Owning something you love and losing it, and not being able to replace it is the pits... learned that when my Ipod classic got stolen.

I really love this bag. It is a perfect for when I need to make trips to the park, zoo, or any other place that I take my kids. It is comfortable to wear and carries quite a few items. I can fill it with my wallet, phone, water bottle and a few snacks. Love it!

So when I got this bag and it had felt fairly flimsy. I’ve owned a kavu bag before. The material didn’t feel quite right. I did look up videos on how to spot fakes and everything checked out as authentic it even came with a shipping label from surf and dirt. I may have gotten a defective bag I’m not sure but I ended up going to the surf and dirt store and they let me trade it for the mini in the same color. The mini I got from the store felt right and sturdy so I’m not sure but I def won’t order again through Amazon. Giving 4 stars because it is possible the bag is real and I just ended up with one that wasn’t quite right.
