Kaytee Chinchilla Chiller Granite Stone

I got this on recommendation from the pet store when I first got my Chin. Its really kind of pointless though unless you live in a house that doesnt have air conditioning. We have a/c and some days we dont use it, and so it gets a little toasty (not unbearable) and Ive put this in the Chins cage just as a precaution and she just ignores it. I would guess for it to have any real purpose, the environment would have to be pretty darn warm. In that case, you better get two or three and keep rotating them so your Chin can stay cool.

I don’t have a chinchilla, however I use it to cool my clipper blades down when I’m grooming and it works great!

My chin loves it and i am getting the 2nd one. Great quality for the price.

My chinchillas still haven’t really figured out that they’re supposed to lay on it. But it does get super cool.

Its not even hot out and my chinchillas are always on it. I feel like it really going to come in handy this summer. It definitely keeps cool all day.

It’s great quality and very easy to clean. My chinchillas don’t really use it but it’s always nice to have just in case they do get to hot. They try to chew on the edges but it doesn’t break off which is nice. Definitely recommend getting if you keep your house a little warmer.

Apparently, I was way more excited about the discovery of this chinchilla cooler than my chinchilla was. She did not use it & preferred to sprawl out on one of her ledges. Maybe she would have taken to it, if she were younger -- Emily is now 20 years old.
