Greater than one weekI bought the sample tube of this solder a few months ago, and after having some larger projects, I ran out and replaced it with the 1lb spool. This solder is the best solder Ive used, and the small diameter is great for SMD projects. As long as you are somewhere where you can use leaded solder, this is my go-to solder and I will likely buy another spool with larger diameter for large THT parts as well. The spool holder isnt included with the roll, it is a 3D printed design.

> 3 daySince the Radioshack Solder I used was getting harder to find, I thought I would give this one a try. Up until this point I only used the Radioshack Silver Bearing Solder 62/36/2. After using this Kester 63/37, all I can say is this solder is awesome! Perfect for all my projects. I do a ton of SMD and IC work, and this solder works extremely well. I cannot notice a huge difference between this and the silver bearing, and this will be the solder I will use now. Do not hesitate to get this product, you will not be disappointed!

> 3 dayAfter years of struggling to solder a single connection, I upgraded my equipment from the $20 kit you get at hardware stores to a Hakko set. But I still didnt change my solder out until a friend who works in electronics told me to get this spool. While the price is high if you dont solder often, trust me, this is worth it 100x over. I went from barely being able to make a connection to feeling like a pro. I rebuilt a melted engine wiring harness where I had to cut and reuse nearly every connector because of lack of availability. After soldering no less than 200 wires together, from 14-20awg wire sizes. I still have more than 3/4 of this spool left. Im sure it will last me at least another few years. Make sure to protect yourself against the fumes. Either good ventilation, or be dumb like me and hold your breath for small repairs.

> 3 dayMelts nicely and doesn’t burn. Fills crevices easily and is easily removed using solder wick. Doesn’t drench my protoboard in flux. Be sure to use a good quality temperature-control soldering iron or you’ll get bad results no matter how nice your solder is.
