    Ive bought several of these drives through the last year to replace aging hdd on a few old computers in my house (desktop and laptop). By doing that, and with a fresh OS install, machines that were almost unusable due to the slow boot and poor general performance got back to work just fine. My sister could not believe the performance boost in her laptop with such an small investement. Now she will keep it for a longer time, which is good for her pocket, and for the environment. Its not the fastest drive (more like a low to mid level performace comparing to other ssd) and the SATA III standard is getting phased out by newer/faster Pcie Nvme drives. The price also has been going up lately, which is not great for drives of this size/capacity. So in conclusion, if your computer supports the newer m.2 pcie nvme drives, go get one of those, but for older machines with aging hdd, go get one of these. Its the best investment you can do to give a breath of life in and old computer. Have a nice day...

    I purchased the Kingston A400 240GB drive to replace a 10 yr old Kingston SSDNOW. I was surprised that my first Kingston drive lasted 10 years so I purchased another one. Although I dont have quantitative benchmark data, boot times are really quick and application load times are really snappy. Overall you cant beat the price and the performance is really good.

    The HP boot time went from 1 mins plus to 10 seconds, and my status as caring, nurturing bf went from okay to highly decent. I really recommend.
