Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

Like these Kingstons because they have a metal case making them durable and easy to install. Cheap little solid states good for and computer refab or to use as a cache with a mechanical drive.

Ive got this SSD since December and so far it has been working excellent. My Hp laptop is been renewed.

Work fast and easy to install windows and go. Only good for a boot drive, you will need a secondary HDD to be main storage else you will run out of room or will need a bigger SSD. been using as a boot drive from my pc and works great

Performance is not the hallmark of this drive but it is a good value for the money. I had to search for the transfer software and wasnt impressed with the free version on the companys website, so I ponied up more dollars for a better version of transfer/cloning software to move the old drive to the new drive. Other than that the drive performs well after the transfer has been done. Heads up because you will have to expend some effort on the transfer portion of the upgrade.

I have an Acer 2 in 1 thats been dead for a year or so. It just wouldnt book - it gave weird errors. I finally got enough information together to guess that the hard drive had gone bad. So I found this hard drive and gave it a try. I found an article that showed me how to take the tablet apart and I replaced the drive. Then I had to go into the BIOS and change the boot from EUFI to Legacy. Until I did that, it wouldnt recognize the new hard drive! Once I did it, the rest was fine. I used a usb stick to install Windows 10 and Windows remembered my computer so I didnt even have to try to activate it (this was an unexpected plus). Now Ive got a working 2 in 1 again and much cheaper than a replacement!
