I purchased the headset for two reason. 1. To take some of the pressure off my forehead that I usually get after 30 mins of wearing it. With the new head gear I no longer have to worry about that yay! 2. Able to get more play time then before and so far I have got more then a hour and half so that a plus for me because I don’t really play that long so to be able to get a few hours every other day if a plus for me and still haven’t had to charger it so this was worth every single coin!

I have been using my Oculus Quest 2 with the pro strap/battery pack for a couple years now. That is to say, the official one sold by Facebook/Meta. And while that one is okay, this is just so much better. Not only is the battery twice the size of what is in the official one, but it is unbelievably more comfortable. The weight is balanced very well, and the extra padding really makes a difference for the longer play sessions you are now capable of because of the bigger battery. The ability to swivel up the eyepiece is huge too; especially if youre interacting with your surroundings at all while you use the device. Theres only two things that I would like to point out, where it could be improved. First, it is unfortunate that it doesnt 100% replicate the functionality of the official battery, where your Oculus acts as if it has two batteries installed; instead it just thinks that its plugged into a charger. Which is fine functionally, but just a little bit less seamless than the official device. Second, the USB-C jack that plugs into the Oculus itself has to be pushed in VERY HARD. Its not intuitive, and youll likely think you have it in when it isnt really plugged in. I think they could make that a little smoother just for the sake of user friendliness. That said, those are very very minor complaints about a device which is absolutely game-changing for VR usage, both mobile and linked to a PC. Dont be drawn in by the overpriced official model, or cheap battery packs from unknown, nameless brands you can buy online. Neither of those stand up to the quality of the Kiwi device. Ive been using my Quest 2 for years now, and ive tried a number of peripherals for it. This one is second to none. Its not perfect, granted...but its also the best you can buy.

Good concept, extends play time quite a bit. The only thing I would change is add a on/off switch o case between battery and extension cable. After fully charging and disconnecting from ac the headset charging light stays on the whole time unless you disconnect the headset cord from unit, which is annoying. Other than that great product and I would recommend

Overall a great improvement over the stock headstrap. Well balanced and good battery life. My only complaint is that you have to remember to unplug the cord to the headset when you are finished playing as it will continuously charge the headset and drain the strap’s battery. I wish it had an “off” switch so this could easily be avoided.

I have been buying gadgets and accessories for over 25 years, I have never bought an accessory that changes the experience of the main device. This battery/head strap literally transformed the Meta Quest 2 experience. The ease of fixing the strap, weight distribution, comfurt PLUS extended battery life is out of this world. Id rate this as the top trch accessory that I have ever bought. Good job, Kiwi!

I only got it a couple weeks ago, so I cant comment on its durability, but it feels well designed. Very comfortable, allows for multi hour sessions without any discomfort from pressure points like the regular strap. Good balance with the battery on the back. The increased battery life seems to at least 2x if not 2.5x or 3x what youd have without it. I have a hard case that was designed to accommodate the quest 2 with the meta elite strap. The Kiwi strap is a bit of a tight fit, but the case does close on it and seems to do so safely.

Unit is nicely finished, balance is all good. The battery is not supplying any power at all. Its fully charged, but no voltage at the USB charging plug. The plug also fits so loosely in the quest 2 that it falls out easily. I tried charging other devices like phones with same result. Any of my other USB C chargers work fine on the quest 2 and their plugs fit the quest snugly, so I am confident that the battery headset is the issue. Will return for an exchange and update review later. Update February 6: Received replacement unit over the weekend. Works properly and Im enjoying using it with no more issues on the charging end. USB plug fits normality (wont come loose during use). Revised rating to well earned 5 stars).

The headset itself is amazingly comfortable, and the weight distribution is fabulous. I had to order another one because the first one I had had a defective charging cable. Luckily, Amazon has same-day deliveries so it didn’t feel obnoxious. I’ve tried halo headsets and they give a weird pressure and feel very loose when you’re trying to look around. But this has such a thick padding, and it gets a snug as you want it to with the Turndale fastener. I very much recommend this to anyone if you have the budget!

The counter balancing aspect to this makes it a worthy upgrade. Rather than feeling like you have a heavy device in front of your face, it evens it out. However, it puts added weight overall, and is more restrictive to move your head around. For example, looking up makes the rear strap and pad hit against your neck, reducing motion. I have to tilt my back a bit to see all the way up. I have a long skinny neck, so it would be worse for other body types. I also noticed that pressure on my cheeks increased. So much that I had to stop using it. I loosened the strap, but it made the vr wobbly. That means another needed upgrade for the face pad! The twist adjuster feels nice and sturdy. Overall it is better than the default strap, but there are unfortunate drawbacks to consider. Maybe not worth the price for casual VR users. Lastly, I used the vr for about 20 minutes. 20 minutes later I still feel the pressure points around my face and head.
