I moved into a new home. Unfortunately the fuse box wasnt labeled very well. So when I went to install a new porch light I had to turn all the electricity off as running up and down the steps to check each fuse was so time consuming. Im so glad to have discovered this before installing garage lights. Not only was I able pinpoint the fuse but I was able to check all my outlets and label the entire fuse box correctly! Be sure to get the case and kit. Its not expensive and it provides more options.

Works for tracing live circuits and I found it to be easy to use, despite many reviews here that it didnt work or was difficult. I do have some feedback: 1. Im sad to see this Klein Tool is made in China. This was one of the last dependable companies to manufacture here in the USA. 2. I bought this needing to trace a dead outlet, but this tool will only trace live circuits and will not trace a dead circuit. Maybe I missed it in the fine print.

Bought as a gift. Not sure how it works or if it does a good job.
