After 50 years of using a lamp to find which breaker controls which switch or outlet, I FINALLY bought a circuit tracer. This device is wonderful, simple, and fast! Plug the remote transmitter into a plug or light bulb socket (with adapter), and scan the breaker box. Ta-Da! Youre done! (Always verify the outlet is off with a meter, before touching the wires, of course.) I will be tracing all the circuits in an old house this weekend, and this will save me hours of time, and hundreds of back-and-forths to check if the lamp is on or off. I highly recommend it!

Very simple tool that tells you if a circuit is hot and pin-points the circuit breaker that feeds an outlet. Nice stowaway feature for the plug-in indicator.
