Klipsch RP-450C Center Channel Speaker - Ebony

Excellent center channel speaker with amazing sound quality. However, it is quite large so make sure you have the space before you order.

This replaced a smaller R-52c that wasnt working as well after a week as it did at first. THAT replaced an Onkyo SKS-HT954 Atmos system. The upgrade from the Onkyo to that first Klipsch was just stunning, even more so than the 4 times larger front L/R and height speakers. This takes it to yet another level.

My initial impression of this 450C, Big, Heavy and what a match for my recently added, Klipsch RP-8000F L/R and RP-140 SA Height and Elevation Speakers. I was using an Aperion 632 L/R as Center which was OK, but I wanted the Fronts matched as close as possible. After running them for one day with varied content, I started watching Movies with dynamic and robust segments where the sound from the 450C was clearly more distinct for dialogue and other discernible effects like notable bass coming from the center. I was surprised with the added Bass and had to sit close to the 450C to confirm, since it was noticeable from my seated position. Yeah, Bass from a Center? It definitely adds to the overall listening experience. I did not realize that my Sub was OFF. My HT setup is now crisp and clear with an unbiased approach to neutral sound reproduction. The specs of the 450C is identical to the 504C and about $160 less expensive. I am glad I found this on Amazon because I now have a robust Front Stage. Years ago, I did not really believe that a center was necessary. But now with all the various sound fields including DTS X and Dolby Atmos I am a believer now. I was surprised to find that the crossover is a three-way.

I recieved this speaker today, unplugged a polk s35 center, found a place for this monster( its huge), played a couple movies and some music and it is a transforming piece to my home theater system. All voices are crystal clear and crisp, i heard actors breathing in some situations, things i was never able to hear with the polk and before that infinity center channels. My fiancee came home and could immediately tell a huge difference and she started getting the return paperwork ready for the polk that evening. At 349 dollars it seems stiff, but its almost half price ( from 649) and it is an investment in your home entertainment system that will pay off for many years given its quality. I fully recommend this, get it when you can, you wont ever have buyers remorse like i did for the Polk.

This product far exceeded my expectations. It’s crisp, clean, and has balls if you need it cranked. I suggest nice song from Hatebreed.

What a great speaker, trouble is i now need to upgrade all my other surround speakers now as the quality of this centre speaker is just mind blowing and puts to shame what i have been happy with for the last three years, but atleast my amp is still ok

This is the best sounding center speaker that Ive experienced in my home. If you want clear dialogue, dynamic background sound than this is the center to get.

The speaker is really Overkill for my system. But thats what I wanted .You never know what Im going to do in the future with my home theater system. And the speaker sounds great and Im happy with my purchase

This thing is awesome, gotta have some power for it but is very clear and clean
