Klipsch RP-504C Center Channel Speaker (Walnut)

Better horn, I can feel tweeter, and the vocal sounds better than the old series. I was happy with my old Klipsch center speaker, but I saw the deal get a good deal with Klipsch RP-504C Center Channel Speaker.

This is a perfect center channel speaker.

Absolutely incredible sound clarity. I can distinctly hear each instrument as I focus, they are not muddled together. Dialog from movies is crystal clear and I never miss what they say anymore. The new trim inside the horn and around the woofers has given it enough wife points that I can keep the grille off at all times.

With this speaker you dont have to volume up the center channel gain to here what they are saying in the movie.. Its just give you clear perfect sound even when explosion happens.. Just wow.. I love it

This is a perfectly good center speaker and a significant improvement over our 25 year old Qef. If one is impressed by shear mass and driver quantity then this is for you. Better have a big, strong place to put it. Soundwise, the propaganda led me to think that I would be able to hear clear dialog again. Well, not so. It is significantly improved, but we are still turning on the subtitles frequently. Despite the huge size and cost, it is maybe 30-40% better than the old single speaker Qef. Since we have the space and I already bought the monster, we decided to keep it. As an experiment, we called our two twentysomething sons in to listen. They admitted to struggling with dialog as well. One begins to think the problem with hearing the spoken words may not be our ancient ears. Maybe the sound track has been so compressed by online services that fidelity is just crap, and no speaker can fix that. So it goes, already donated my 300 DVDs.

Got this SOLELY because Klipsch decided to discontinue the Piano Black finish in their new speakers. I also got the matching front tower speakers. It looks gorgeous and totally changes the look of an entire room when it has the speaker grill off. Make sure you supply enough power to the speaker to get the full performance. The number one reason speakers dont sound as good as they possibly can is because folks under power their speakers. If you purchase this speaker, make sure to get a dedicated AMP to drive this speaker. This speaker is definitely NOT for the home theater in a box crowd.

Had Definitive Technology CS9040 I was never happy with. Bought this and couldnt be happier.
