17-11-2024Great sound quality from this speaker. Sound is clear and precise. The unit is a bit big but I new the size prior to buying and made sure there was room. Very nice.

> 3 dayOne of the best sounding center channel speaker on the market. Rich, clear, clean, and robust sounds and tones. Excellent for watching movies. It gives you clear and concise voice dialog and subtle tones. This is a very good purchase for the money.

Greater than one weekOverall, it’s a great improvement to my sound system. It’s regrettable that it has to be made overseas…you’ll certainly notice some low quality construction of the speaker cabinet. The MDF seems barely strong enough to sustain its own weight. It will be fine as long as it’s not subjected to a sideways load (someone leaning on it for example). I would like to have seen plywood or solid wood cabinet at this price point. Some foam inside is present for vibration reduction along wire runs. This foam will be a degrader to sound quality within a few years as it begins to decompose. The initial sound quality is excellent, but this is far from the last speaker you will ever need. Even if Klipsch only made the cabinet domestically, and imported the drivers, they could deliver a much better overall product.

> 3 dayPurchased this center channel as a replacement for a Klipsch RP-440C. Absolutely nothing was wrong with the 440C, just wanted a bigger center presence when I setup my new theater room. I’m definitely happy with the purchase, center dialogue and action is more hefty now, sure it might be a placebo, but I’m swallowing that pill and sticking to my ear’s belief. Sound is the lovely Klipsch standard and mates well with the front, side and surround Klipsch RP-250Fs in my room.

> 3 dayThis is a perfectly good center speaker and a significant improvement over our 25 year old Qef. If one is impressed by shear mass and driver quantity then this is for you. Better have a big, strong place to put it. Soundwise, the propaganda led me to think that I would be able to hear clear dialog again. Well, not so. It is significantly improved, but we are still turning on the subtitles frequently. Despite the huge size and cost, it is maybe 30-40% better than the old single speaker Qef. Since we have the space and I already bought the monster, we decided to keep it. As an experiment, we called our two twentysomething sons in to listen. They admitted to struggling with dialog as well. One begins to think the problem with hearing the spoken words may not be our ancient ears. Maybe the sound track has been so compressed by online services that fidelity is just crap, and no speaker can fix that. So it goes, already donated my 300 DVDs.
