Greater than one weekThis is a very high profile center channel speaker. The crisp sound of dialogue and center presence is unbelievable making movie watching a real pleasure. Paired with a set of Klipsch RF-280F reference premiere main speakers is the real deal. It’s like having a real band in my living room. Lows are not as pronounced as I expected seeing the massive size of these furniture grade speakers but the sub is really designed for sonic lows. As a reference speaker, if the material calls for subtle lows, the speaker delivers as it was intended with no added bass. Speech is really pronounced overpowering the main speakers as it is supposed to when listening to movies. Music is the opposite whereas the main speakers dominate the center channel very noticeably as they were intended. These however fill the hollow gap between left and right channels so stereo sound is not coming from extreme left and right but instead from a panoramic left to right presence. This effect was AWESOME! The sound is EVERYWHERE simulating a real live event. VERY IMPORTANT...these are like horizontal tower speakers!!! This is a HUGE speaker and very few cabinets and stands support this massive weight and size. MEASURE YOUR PLACEMENT CAREFULLY. After lots of research, I finally found a tempered glass TV stand that supports this size speaker perfectly, so much so that I thought it was designed for this speaker. Amazon sells the AVF SDC1140-A three tier stand as you can see from my photo. The piano-grade cabinet is high-end and too nice to risk damaging it by placing a TV or any component on it. The stand I recommend should compensate for this risk.

> 3 dayThis is a hefty piece of equipment, so make sure you have room. Luckily I did have room on my shelf, but it was close. As for the sound, this is a nice upgrade over my underpowered VRC from Boston Acoustics. It has a nice full sound and doesn’t seem to have the cringe worthy highs that many people have said Klipsch is known for. So far I have found it to be well balanced and the dialogue has been very clear. A nice center channel at this price point.

> 3 dayGreat sound quality from this speaker. Sound is clear and precise. The unit is a bit big but I new the size prior to buying and made sure there was room. Very nice.

> 3 dayI purchased the Klipsch RP-504C Center channel to mate with RP-8060FA fronts after seeing expert reviews on YouTube. Had been running Klipsch R-25C with R-15M fronts. While waiting on the 504C to arrive I had the R-25C running which is basically the same speaker as the RP-504C less 2 ea of the 5.25 copper spun woofers. For the price difference and very little noticeable audio upgrade, the R-25C was just as clear and nearly as full bodied. For the $250 or more price upgrade not nearly worth what you get in my opinion. I did find it to provide clear, unmuddled dialogue for both broadcast TV and Dolby surround movie viewing. Add 20#s for the two woofers and extended, deeper cabinet and you have a formidable obstacle to manage for the average home theater setup. Given the time and logistics I will most likely just keep the addition and I think I may add another R-25C to my setup and use them for Surround and move the R-15M set to rears... another AVR upgrade... ergo my Empty Pockets moniker. Bottom line for the huge price difference youre not getting very much. And if you move up to the latest, greatest Klipsch release with the RP-8060FA II and the RP-504C II, you are really getting drilled for multiples in price point which I expect given this result, receive very little to show for the upgrade except the huge bank account drain. Sorry Klipsch, I like your products but your pricing makes absolutely no sense and the final sound result for the upgrades is negligible. Empty Pockets

> 3 dayThe 504C is a monster center channel, its got power in proportion to demand. As part of a pretty much all Klipsch RP* system, I have a pair of SVS PB-1000 subs. Honestly, I have very little experience in serious DSP. I used a few Heritage and KLF lines, this is different. Soundtracks have a lot of DSP now, in order to experience this sound bubble, I went with Klipsch RP products, its pretty cool.

> 3 dayIm convinced that Klipsch is a discount brand disguising itself as premium. Sure they are on sale all the time - however, this center channel is so shrill! Dont bother. I sent it back. And I have expensive front speakers...wow these are just ear piercing.

> 3 dayThis speaker tries to do TOO much, is my diagnosis. It is large, four big woofers (large relative to most center channels) and the tractix horn.... and thus, all the effects and whatnot overwhelm and bury the dialogue into a recessed position. Yes, if you turn it up real loud you can hear everything, but then youre shaking the house... fine if thats what youre looking for. But what about just standard watching? Normal, lets watch a movie or tv show and be able to still have a conversation - type watching...? Then this speaker is not so good; indeed, youd be better off with two-channel stereo for music listening (or maybe just ditch the surround sound altogether, just sayin ) and a good clear-dialogue soundbar. For a $900 (or $650... or even $300) a center channel should be able to do it all instead of being one trick pony of crank-it-up-or-you-wont-understand-it type product.
