Tape was very flimsy (Ive used everything from typical Stanley tapes to FatMaxs and this was beyond the older style tape floppy). Thought I would like the white color tape for better contrast but the material has no sheen; it almost feels like a matte finish. This was an issue since you can easily mark the tape with a pencil. Last issue I had with it buuuuut for people very new to using a tape measure; it might be helpful if they dont need to make super accurate marks: the rubber at the bottom holds the tape 1/8~1/4 above anything you might measure on horses/whatever. Not a big issue but try using a flimsy tape hooked and you want to read the measurement at the edge... well the rubber will be in the way. For beginner users, the bottom of the housing aint going anywhere. Its also not a large instrument but the protrusions I mentioned make it need a large holster. anyway, bye <3

I really like the double sided measuring tape. I measure oil tanks daily at work. The verticle numbers are easier to read and the white background makes the oil level much easier to see.

Has survived many drops and looks like it will continue to do so for the foreseeable future

Operates just fine- hook, lock and retraction mechanism are good. The grey tape background color is a bit dark and does not make for an easy to read tape. Considering that accuracy is important the graduations on the tape should be easy to read against a BRIGHT background.

At 3x3” and 1.75” thick this is beefier than the average 16’ tape measure. This is mostly due to the rubber wrapped case which feels great in my hand and also helps avoid scratching delicate surfaces. Accuracy is dead on. I love the 1” wide (off) white tape and the 1/8” readings. I’m tired of 16’ tapes that are 3/4” wide. But the real dealmaker for me is the lock lever which, when partially depressed, can slow down/control the blade retraction. I’m not sure if this was an intended or accidental feature of the lock mechanism but I hate tapes with no ability to control retraction, which is almost all. For $6 it’s a no brainer. I also ordered the 12’ version for a better fit in my shop apron pouch.

I bought this even though it was a brand name I never heard of because it has the 16th marking right on the tape. Meaning you dont have to be thinking is that 3/16s or 11/16s, it actually says 3/16 on the tape. When I am working its sometimes hard to see the tape lines (as Im old) and being able to read the numbers makes it easier. The tape has a nice feel and is slightly more compact in size than other tapes. The case is rubberized so you dont have to worry as much about scratching a table if you lay it down, unlike a lot of brands that are hard plastic. The lock feature is a novel design, well see if it holds up over time. The reason I bought this was because I had two other brand tapes have the lock break on the same day. This one is good so far.

Very easy to read/use tape measure. The tape itself is sturdy and the tape measure overall feels well built. My only complaint would be that the locking feature feels like it will break at any moment. It feels like the lock will break every time you engage it (it hasnt broken yet). Also, this tape measure does not have metric markings. That isnt an issue for me, but may be an issue for you.
