Love this - SO much easier to actually SEE the measurement numbers vs all the others that we have ESP handy when viewing overhead.

I accidently got the tape measures by a random chance. I think it is a really well made product. I cannot really explain how I feel when I use it, but among several tape measures I own, I use this tape measure all the time.

Tape was very flimsy (Ive used everything from typical Stanley tapes to FatMaxs and this was beyond the older style tape floppy). Thought I would like the white color tape for better contrast but the material has no sheen; it almost feels like a matte finish. This was an issue since you can easily mark the tape with a pencil. Last issue I had with it buuuuut for people very new to using a tape measure; it might be helpful if they dont need to make super accurate marks: the rubber at the bottom holds the tape 1/8~1/4 above anything you might measure on horses/whatever. Not a big issue but try using a flimsy tape hooked and you want to read the measurement at the edge... well the rubber will be in the way. For beginner users, the bottom of the housing aint going anywhere. Its also not a large instrument but the protrusions I mentioned make it need a large holster. anyway, bye <3

Tape measure seems well built, fairly solid, and smooth action. Descent lock as well; however, the tape on mine is more light gray (not really white, or even off-white). Not meaning to sound bad, or complainy, but white tape is the main reason I ordered this one (thus my 3-star rating). I have a different measuring tape (and have seen some in stores, since I purchased this one) with actual white tape. Theres a difference. Anyway, I let the return-date slip by me, but its not a problem, as this has, like a said, a solid build, and I like a good wide tape (sturdy for long measurements when tape is in mid-air). Im sure itll be useful.

I give the product 4-Stars and the packaging one star. Product: I bought this product mainly because of the Speed Mark measuring feature which for me is very useful. The tape measure is heavy, which I think is an asset. It feels great in your hands and is stable for hands free operation. It appear to be a high quality device based on its feel, looks and sturdiness. Things I do not like about it: I was hoping the actual measuring section was constructed of plastic for rust reasons. Also, the measuring section is concave in design. Im not sure if this is manufactured this way for a reason or not, regardless I would prefer a flat measuring section. Packaging: The item was very, very difficult to remove from its original packaging. If you are not careful removing the tape measure while using a utility knife, you can easily cut the rubber coating or your hand.

I have two of these and love them. After using a white tape, its hard to go back to yellow.

The lock feature is great. Very sturdy tool. A must-have for all homes.

Finally replaced my old tape measure and this one really solved some of my general complaints about most models. It has fractional numbers on one side, which really helps. The tape is strong enough such that it remains rigid for easy measurement. I really like the lock mechanism, but my favorite feature is that is slowly retracts and doesnt snap into my hand!!
