I am a watercolor artist and i was looking to upgrade from my artist loft watercolor set to something more professional and less chalky. My first complaint is how i cannot take it with me everywhere easily because the pans slide and the box is cardboard. I will need to figure something else out for this. This isnt too big of a problem but the second thing is you cannot judge the color by looking at the pan, the paint is so concentrated that it looks a lot darker in the pan than when you use it. That just makes it more vibrant on your paper so i just used their color swatch table on the back of the lid to see the true colors of all the pans and they are beautiful. I do love how big the pans are and how vibrant they are. They are not chalky and do not need much water to pick them up! I was spoiled with my artist loft set because it had pans for skin colors, this does not but that is my fault for not researching more about that. After i bought this i read that people usually use it for landscapes and nature, there are great colors in here for that! I will just need to use this pallet in conjunction with another pallet so i will be on the search for another one with some skin tones.

Love these paints! They do not work as a watercolor for me even if watered down, but the colors are very nice and super pigmented. I am sure it will last me a long time! would buy again.

Really really nice colors. This was my first time using water colors that weren’t from a crayola pan, so I’m very pleased in comparison. The metallic colors at the bottom of the kit are BEAUTIFUL. I’ve used them in multiple paintings now and I’m so pleased. I really enjoy these, however I have no knowledge in other watercolors. I have no idea whether these are good for professionals!

Wife loves these paints more than anything. I dont know anything about water color but she enjoys them and that is all I care about.

This nice size set offers a variety of colors that are pigment-rich and blend well. I use them as a light wash on 80 and 98 lb paper and heavier wash on 140 lb paper. I also like that it includes two metallic golds as well as a lovely pearly metallic. Would definitely order this again when this set is fully used.
