> 3 dayI use it for my laptop and school and it sits in one spot-its failing. The USB plug has a short where it joins the wire and it has to be in the perfect position or it turns off. The laptop is new and nothing else has issues with this port. You get what you pay for but it sure is pretty!

> 3 dayAs someone who writes a lot, I used keyboard shortcuts all the time for select all, copy an paste, and I was all set to write a review bemoaning that this keyboard did not allow for keyboard shortcuts. Then I examined my old keyboard (a simple HP got at a garage sale for $5 which lasted for years until my son spilled water on it and the keys started to stick) and a photo of a Mac keyboard and realized this keyboard only has a command key on the left hand side (WIN with a little lock symbol) whereas there is a command key on both sides of a mac and the old HP keyboard I was using with my mac. I always used the command key on the right hand side and could not figure out why keyboard shortcuts were not working on this keyboard! I felt pretty silly once I figured it out, but also thankful I wouldnt have to return this keyboard as I use shortcuts all the time. I only just got this keyboard last night, so I will update my review if things change, but these are my thoughts so far: Cons: 1. That there is only a command key on one side of the keyboard XD 2. There is no dedicated volume control button. I didnt realize how much I used that feature on my old keyboard until I went to turn down a very loud video and saw there was no volume control button. To change the volume you have to press the FN+(F2, F3, or F4 to lower, raise or mute the volume respectively.) I will have to see how much of a pain it is to get adapted to this. 3. Not all the multimedia keys work on mac. So the FN+F5 is stop and that does not work on iTunes or DVD player. Nor does FN+ (F1, F9, F10, F11, F12) which are (Multimedia, mail, web page/home page, my computer, and calculator respectively.) I think these commands are not compatible with Mac. But I probably wouldnt use these keys anyway, except the calculator key, so it doesnt bother me. 3. Not any quieter than my old standard keyboard. As this was one of the first ones to come up for quiet mac keyboards I expected it to be at least 50% quieter, but it is not at all. I wanted a quiet keyboard since I live on a converted school bus and often write while everyone is asleep. But my boyfriend says he cant hear me when Im typing at night, which means this keyboard will work okay for me, but maybe not for everybody. Like others have said, you can hear the spring in the spacebar key, but so far this doesnt bother me. 4. When I lifted up the keyboard to clean some dust behind it, I lost everything I had written--twice. So there must be some key that I accidentally slightly pressed that ended up resetting the page somehow? I lifted it up gently a few times making sure not to touch any keys, and this did not happen. So be careful when moving the keyboard. 5. Led lights only display rainbow, which I didnt realize when I bought it, so you cannot choose only one color or a rotation of colors like on other illuminated keyboards. But the rainbow is really pretty, so this isnt a big issue for me. The lights can also be dimmed or shut off if you prefer. There is also a breathing mode where the lights mimic a breathing ebb and flow...I found that distracting, but its a cool option if youre into that. Pros: 1. Its gorgeous! I love the metal and black which matches my iMac perfectly and the rainbow lights are so much fun! Probably the coolest keyboard I could ask for apart from one that looks like a typewriter, haha, but that one is on my future anachronistic goals list. ;) 2. They keys are really nice to use, have a good responsiveness (from a writers perspective on a brand-new keyboard--will update if this changes.) It has a good mechanical feel.

Greater than one weekFor the price, this is a really great keyboard. The colors are awesome and I love how they look with the metal finish and white, though some keys are difficult to see. It is fairly quiet compared to other keyboards I have used. However the spacebar on my keyboard makes this bizarre springy type noise when you press it. I looked underneath and noticed its probably because of the springs. It is quite annoying and sometimes just moving the keyboard will replicate that sound. Otherwise no other compliants about the sound. My biggest issue and probably the reason why I will return this is the spacebar. When I got this I switched from the keyboard on my Macbook Pro to this so as usual I expected a little getting used to the feel of the keyboard, a few typos here and there, but it hasnt really been the case. Its actually the spacebar thats giving me so many issues. Im not sure if its just mine or how they all are. Ive found that unless I press in the dead center by the light it doesnt register on the first click. When I type, if I hit the left edge (thats the side I usually hit for the space) of the spacebar it registers 2 out of 10 times. And then sometimes Im pressing it so hard and often that it gives me a double space. Its anyones guess what will show up. I have not had this issue with any other keys. I cant really use a keyboard without a properly working spacebar, and I cant be making so many typos. Otherwise, its a great keyboard. Its inexpensive, colorful, relatively quiet, and wired.

> 3 dayPerfect for my needs! I just needed a light up keyboard because my eyes are going bad and I have trouble seeing the keyboard. This keyboard lights up, has a pretty rainbow gradient, and there are different brightness settings and breathing settings. Granted, it only has that one rainbow color, but I think it’s still cool looking. It’s not the quietest keyboard, but not the typical loud clunkiness of a mechanical keyboard. Your roommate will still hear you type. Reminds me of a keyboard I got in 2015. The keys are medium size in height, not huge. Note the keyboard is raised and tilted, and there is no flat keyboard option. So you may need a wrist support pad. It’s very clean looking. No software needed, my Windows 7 computer read it right away. There is a little brush included too for sweeping into between your keyboard keys. I tested all the keys and they work! Such a nice simple keyboard. I’m really happy I bit the bullet and bought this more inexpensive keyboard. Good quality.

> 3 dayThis keyboard is solid overall! I really like the clicking sound it makes and it looks great as a part of my setup. Some other people mentioned the space bar in their review, which I too found to be a little annoying. It has springs under it for some reason so it bounces and makes kind of a funky noise when you hit it. But otherwise, overall, I really like it!

> 3 dayI love this keyboard! I love that it adds some color to my desk. The colors are bright and beautiful but not obnoxious.. and the keys are on the quieter side and soft touch which I love! I work an online job 12 hours a day / 6 days a week so have a soft touch keyboard like this feels great for my fingers. Highly recommend!

03-06-2025I like the design and the at it looks, but the LEDs are only single color and can’t fade into different ones or “move around” on the keyboard itself. Well made, except for the LEDs

> 3 dayUpdate: Ive had this keyboard for almost a year and its still in great condition. Easy to clean (wet paper towel or compressed air), there are no loose keys, and it still makes the same familiar sounds and produces the same bright LED colors. For this price, this really is a great keyboard. Id recommend it, 100%. I read a lot of reviews about how loud the keyboard was and almost didnt purchase it for that reason MyIpd friend has a mechanical keyboard that is much louder than this one. Its definitely not as quiet as my other silent keyboard, but its quieter than a lot of other keyboards Ive looked at. The colors are beautiful, but I wish there were more settings available. Overall, Im glad I purchased this, and Id recommend it to anyone who loves the colors/white background.

> 3 dayI am a 911/Dispatcher and decided to buy my own keyboard due to the over use of the ones we have. I wanted something light and easy to use. I prefer flat keys. The keyboard with colors is very cute, thought I’m not sure i like having the colors on while working. The keys are wide for my little fingers though the feel of the keyboard is very nice. It’s very quiet and smooth. I think it’s a great keyboard and definitely recommend. For my and my little hands I’m going to give it a few shifts to get used too to see if I can make it work. I noticed due to the width I had more typos and would hit the wrong buttons at times than I usually would. But other than that it’s a great product.
