We’ve had this fan for over two years. It’s reasonably quiet and cools off the room well. The remote is a little finicky but the fan works well otherwise. It’s a nice size and fits in a corner. I’m considering getting a second one for another room.

The fan came packaged well. I would recommend you keep the box and the cardboard-fitted ends for storage when the fan is no longer needed. It was easy to put together, just make sure when you put the base together that the indent for the cable route is located _behind_ the fan, so the wire routes easily behind and neat rather than coming out through the front. Once you clip the two bases together, it has 3 easy hand-turn screws to secure it to the base. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). It has 3 speeds, an oscillate function, and a sleep timer. The remote can control all of these as well as buttons located on the fan itself. Its relatively quiet at 3 speeds, just not as quiet as some other fans Ive used, so if you need something whisper quiet this may not be for you, but I personally like the white noise aspect of it, though it is still relatively quiet for the wind output. As noted in the picture, I put the remote on top but thats actually a handle for carrying the fan around, but it works as a remote holder as well. Highly recommend this fan especially at this price point.

It’s a very quiet and efficient fan - and it’s certainly more visually appealing than the bargain floor fan I have. There are a couple issues, however that prevent this Lasko from being worth the money you’re paying. The first is that it won’t remember your previous settings. For example; my husband and I prefer Lvl2 with oscillation and this fan is incapable of remembering oscillation settings. It’s not fun to try and find that button in the dark. Second, it’s a dust magnet. More-so than some other fans I’ve seen... and where I can usually take a swiffer duster or even a good damp washcloth down the vents to clean it, the design of the venting slays have made this process awkward. They’re long and narrow, and the crooks are therefor tighter and less likely to have any rag or duster successfully clean the crevice. It’s a great midline fan; it would probably work great as an office or waiting area fan - or just in an area it doesn’t need to be messed with much. Cleanliness is definitely something to consider.

The fan is almost noiseless. Convenient with the remote control. Good amount of air circulated

I bought this when my air conditioning went out during a heat wave. I have asthma and it was so hard to breathe with my old box fan plus that thing makes a racket the neighbors can hear. This takes up less real estate, is super quiet, really moves the air and makes the room more comfortable. Even on high you can still watch tv without busting out eardrums. You couldnt do that with my old box fan! The remote is excellent but in honestly weve rarely used it. I expect that it will get more use in time but right now, we tend to turn it on and leave it alone. But I love that the remote stays attached until I need it. My family has a habit of losing everything!! This way they cant, but Im sure they will try. The functions are all very easy to operate and it was a very quick job to put together. Ive had cereal boxes that were harder! Writing this review, I might have convinced myself to buy another one!

Like the fan but after 5 months the bearing is going out and it’s loud. It drives my spouse crazy.

The Pros: It actually blows in a good way. I put it on the lowest setting about 10 feet away from the bed last night, with the windows open, and it was just the right amount of cool air. The unit itself is also pretty quiet and a little noise actually helps me go to sleep. The Cons: The base doesnt fit properly which makes it stand at a slight angle--and its a tad wobbly. The instructions are weird and I ended up putting the base on backward meaning that the cord comes out under the front. Perhaps I could have used more common sense but now Im just starting to sound like my ex-wife. One of the hand screws broke off when I tried to unscrew it so now Im kind of stuck with it this way. For 50 bucks I would expect you to include the 2 AAA batteries for the remote. Overall I think I just got a unit made at 4 oclock on a Friday and its clearly cheaply made. It serves its purpose and even on the lowest setting blows well enough to feel it 10 feet away. Id be much more satisfied with the small issues if it was 20 dollars cheaper. Edit: After a couple weeks it now makes a slight rattling noise when it hits the end of one turn. Taking a way a star because the directions were terrible and this thing isnt close to worth 50 bucks.

I almost feel bad for those that claim to have received a lemon of a fan. This is my 2nd Lasko 36 tower fan and it works just as well as my 1st one thats many years old. The new one - the 2511 - has only been in use for a couple weeks thus far, but its quiet and moves enough air on low speed that I can feel the slight breeze at roughly 15ft away. Thats just on low. Turned up to high and with the fan standing in the entry way I can feel the air moving at the end of the hall which is probably 30ft away. No chattering during oscillation, either. The same thing can be said for my older Lasko 36 tower fan. I mean much older. Years and years older. Not a decade old, but at least 6 years; old enough to not be sure exactly when I got it. That one has gotten noisy on me, but a fillips screw driver to take off the back panel and an air compressor with an air nozzle to blow out any dust bunnies or cob webs usually made it run quietly again. If it still chattered it was due to the L-bracket which the top of the fan cylinder rides in (just a nub in a sleeve deal) wasnt quite aligned at a right angle. Squaring that off and adding a little bit of grease on the spinning parts made it run quietly once more. If I werent so tired Id go make a video clip of it operating to prove the 6 (or more) year old Lasko 36 tower fan still runs quietly, even while oscillating, I would, but for now ya folks will just have to take my word for it.
