> 3 dayA friend gave us his portable air conditioner, a top rated brand. Our house faces south on a hill with windows. We got immediate relief just having the fans placed facing us and noted cool air moving across room. This fan was purchased along with the tower model, so we use both in room when warmest outside.

> 3 dayUse this fan in our room while were sleeping. the oscillation and speed settings are perfect. We dont utilize the timer as we like the fan on all night, but there are multiple timer options. It has a remote which is nice also. Helps my husband tune out the ringing in his ears from Tinnitus and provides a good ambiance for sleeping.

Greater than one weekLove this stand-up, oscillating fan! Its not the most powerful fan out there, but it does a good job moving the air around and keeping me cool. Practically silent, which is great. Remote is a nice touch. Keep in mind that it does not remember to oscillate after you turn it off, so you need to hit that button every time. Good product, great value.

> 3 dayThe only positive is that the fan is quiet the biggest downfall is that the highest setting barely blows out any airflow. Setting 3 is like setting 1

> 3 daySo far I like this fan a lot. I like that it has a sleep function on it so I turn it on at night before going to sleep and I don’t need to worry about it. The remote control also makes it convenient so I do not need to get up every time I want to change the speed, timer or such. I don’t use the oscillation feature that much but it is nice that it is there. The noise level on the fan I wouldn’t say it’s quiet but it is not overly loud too unless you have it on top speed. I haven’t came across a fan yet that is really quiet anyway. The fan itself is not that sturdy when it is on the stand meaning that when it is touched it wobbles some and if you were to push it with force it could probably fall over. Overall neat fan.

> 3 dayAir blows nicely, sound is quiet. The only drawback is the base doesnt want to assemble correctly. Its slightly off and doesnt want to sit right, so I had to kind of set the base best I could to stand the fan up, then use masking tape to hold it in place on the floor. Hopefully the cat doesnt knock it over.

> 3 dayI bought this when my air conditioning went out during a heat wave. I have asthma and it was so hard to breathe with my old box fan plus that thing makes a racket the neighbors can hear. This takes up less real estate, is super quiet, really moves the air and makes the room more comfortable. Even on high you can still watch tv without busting out eardrums. You couldnt do that with my old box fan! The remote is excellent but in honestly weve rarely used it. I expect that it will get more use in time but right now, we tend to turn it on and leave it alone. But I love that the remote stays attached until I need it. My family has a habit of losing everything!! This way they cant, but Im sure they will try. The functions are all very easy to operate and it was a very quick job to put together. Ive had cereal boxes that were harder! Writing this review, I might have convinced myself to buy another one!

> 3 dayThis is not an air conditioner. I want everyone to understand that if you live in a hot humid state (like I do) and you dont have central air in your house (like I do) then you need to get a window ac unit to actually cool down a room. That being said, this a great directional cooling fan! I love this thing. I also bought the Lasko space heater for the cold winters so I recommend this brand to all my friends and family. I prefer the tower fan to pedestal fan because pedestals just circulate existing air, where towers blow out cooler air and are much more directional when you plan on sitting or laying for long periods. I use this fan mostly during the day when I plan on being at my desk for several hours. I will turn my ac unit up a few degrees so its not running as often and I turn this fan on to keep me cool if I get too warm. The remote control is easy to use and it has a 1-7 hour timer, 3 fan speeds, and oscillation. The lowest speed is pretty quiet but the highest speed has a slight humming noise but its much more quiet than my window ac unit. I use it while I sleep sometimes too when the heat and humidity is insane and it definitely helps me sleep.

Greater than one weekThis fan is very weak. The noise is significant for such a weak air flow. This is fine for a gentle breeze, but not more. I was looking for an oscillating fan to blow strongly on laundry line-drying indoors in high humidity, so as to prevent mildew smell which my apartment seems to be prone to. I am returning the fan and getting an industrial fan used by contractors to dry indoor wall paint. A V*rn*do would probably be OK but their models are mostly non-oscillating, and Ive lost my confidence in the regular-home-use fans after buying and returning another desk fan and also feeling the fans on display in appliance stores. At an appliance store I was told that, because the materials used now are so inferior, the fans simply could not withstand a stronger motor that would generate more air flow. 15 years ago I discarded a cheap desk fan made probably 25 years ago that was 4 to 5 times heavier than what they weight now and produced a much stronger air flow; I recommend looking for the old fans, if possible. Packing this up for return was surprisingly difficult; things have to fit just right otherwise you cannot close the box and the styrofoam pieces are asymmetrical. I highly recommend taking photos before or as you unpack, unless youre sure you will not be returning this.
