I bought this fan in the cooler months and forgot about it until recently. I try not to turn on air conditioning until I really, really have to but I do like some cool air circulating when it gets warm in the house. I pulled out this fan a week ago and I love it. You have to put the bottom part together which takes a minute and then youre all set. You can use the remote control but I dont. The fan is tall and lean, not like those huge wind tunnel fans that take up a lot of space. You can oscillate the air or keep it steady, there are three settings for air flow, and there is a timer which works wonders when you want to just leave the fan on for an hour or two and have it turn off. The air it puts out is good. Not wind tunnel good but nice for warm days or evenings. The sound is like a fan. It isnt super quiet but it isnt any louder than any other fan I have had. I like the sound of fans at night so I am not upset that it sounds like a fan! I just wish that this were just a little better made. While everything works, it feels a bit flimsy. It also does not have an automatic shut off feature when it tips over or falls and I really wish it did. I have pets and this is not the most sturdy fan. My cat ran by it and brushed against it and the fan tipped over. It didnt stop working and I wish it had. Other than that, I love this fan compared to the round ones. It takes up much less space and has some features many others dont. It works as it is supposed to with or without the remote. I want to buy another one but the price went way up since I bought the one I have. Im not sure it is worth nearly $50.00. I paid $29.00. I will watch for a drop in price then snatch another one up. Its not going to blow you away but it will keep you cool when the room you are in is too warm for comfort.

    Greater than one week

Fan works perfectly. It’s not in the way and covers our dining room with no problem. Very quiet and I like the timer feature especially.

I really like that this fan has a remote. It’s powerful and helps to keep our bedroom cool a lot. However, I find I cannot use the oscillation feature at night because it makes this faint creaking noise whenever it switches direction. I’m very sensitive to noise when I’m falling asleep, and when it’s silent in the room, that freaking feels so loud it keeps me up at night. That’s my only complaint with this fan, but it is irritating to not be able to have the fan oscillate at night.

The Pros: It actually blows in a good way. I put it on the lowest setting about 10 feet away from the bed last night, with the windows open, and it was just the right amount of cool air. The unit itself is also pretty quiet and a little noise actually helps me go to sleep. The Cons: The base doesnt fit properly which makes it stand at a slight angle--and its a tad wobbly. The instructions are weird and I ended up putting the base on backward meaning that the cord comes out under the front. Perhaps I could have used more common sense but now Im just starting to sound like my ex-wife. One of the hand screws broke off when I tried to unscrew it so now Im kind of stuck with it this way. For 50 bucks I would expect you to include the 2 AAA batteries for the remote. Overall I think I just got a unit made at 4 oclock on a Friday and its clearly cheaply made. It serves its purpose and even on the lowest setting blows well enough to feel it 10 feet away. Id be much more satisfied with the small issues if it was 20 dollars cheaper. Edit: After a couple weeks it now makes a slight rattling noise when it hits the end of one turn. Taking a way a star because the directions were terrible and this thing isnt close to worth 50 bucks.

This is my second Lasko tower fan; assembled the 36 fan yesterday, no matter how tight I turn the screws on the base, the fan still seems wobbly sitting in the base? Not so with my other Lasko fan. Any recommendations? Love the product overall, but this is bothering me....I would give it 5 stars if not for that matter....

The fan came packaged well. I would recommend you keep the box and the cardboard-fitted ends for storage when the fan is no longer needed. It was easy to put together, just make sure when you put the base together that the indent for the cable route is located _behind_ the fan, so the wire routes easily behind and neat rather than coming out through the front. Once you clip the two bases together, it has 3 easy hand-turn screws to secure it to the base. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). It has 3 speeds, an oscillate function, and a sleep timer. The remote can control all of these as well as buttons located on the fan itself. Its relatively quiet at 3 speeds, just not as quiet as some other fans Ive used, so if you need something whisper quiet this may not be for you, but I personally like the white noise aspect of it, though it is still relatively quiet for the wind output. As noted in the picture, I put the remote on top but thats actually a handle for carrying the fan around, but it works as a remote holder as well. Highly recommend this fan especially at this price point.

Im going to review the 3 fans listed below, including the Lasko, for folks deciding between different models 1. Lasko Oscillating Tower Fan, 36 inch, 2510 2. PELONIS Fan, Oscillating Tower Fan with LED Display, Remote Control, 3 Quiet Speeds and Modes, 7h Programmed Timer for Home and Office, 36-Inch, 2019 New Model 3. Genesis Powerful 40 Inch 360 Degree Oscillating Tower Fan With Max Air Quiet Technology And Remote 1. Lasko - fine if youre looking for a basic, cheap ish fan Pros -budget friendly; probably cheapest out of all the tower fans on here -fairly powerful Cons -pretty noisy, but Im not sure there is a powerful fan out there that isnt super noisy -the one I ordered started making weird noises the second night I used it, so the quality isnt great -not as sleek/stylish as others -not as tall as the others, but that also totally depends on personal preference Pelonis - not bad but fan power is mediocre Pros -other fans displays are lit while the fan is operating, but Pelonis display turns off so that if youre sensitive to light when you sleep, you wont need to worry about the light coming from the fan display -nice sleek design Cons -pretty weak fan power, definitely weaker than the Lasko 3. Genesis - good fan except the thermometer is useless Pros -fan power is good -seems to be good quality -nice sleek design Cons -noisier as well, but again, comes with the fan power -the thermometer is defective, and theres no way to reset it. In reading some other reviews, it seems that this is a problem across all the different fans. When i contacted Amazon I was offered a partial refund for the defect, but Id rather it worked properly.. Overall, I would say theyre all fine, just depends on what youre looking for. I think the Lasko is the noisiest and had the worst quality, but still works fine as a basic tower fan if youre not too picky. I really liked the Pelonis and that the display turns off while operating, but the fan power was not doing it for me. The Genesis, while the most expensive, seems to be the highest quality, but it makes no sense to me that theyd manufacture a thermometer functionality that is useless. I am returning the Lasko and Pelonis, and havent decided if I will keep the Genesis.
