> 24 hourThis was only my second soldering project ever (my first being Rocket Departments other kit Blink), and it turned out perfectly. The walkthrough PDF guided me through the process clearly and easily. Hue is a great step up from Blink. There are fewer joints to solder with Hue, but they tend to be smaller and closer together, so it does provide a little extra challenge. The finished product is a lot of fun to play with since you can experiment with different RGB values. The interactive finished product makes the soldering challenge worth it. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourGreat kit. This board provides for soldering practice at a few different difficulty levels. The resistors have ample space around them for easier access, while the potentiometers and LED require more careful, close-quarters soldering to secure each of their pins.

> 24 hourThese kits are absolutely amazing and super easy for kids and adults alike to understand! My 7year old had a blast learning to solder and wants to buy a bunch more for her art project!

> 24 hourGot this for my 9-year-old to do with my help. I know how to solder (I wouldnt say Im good at it but I know the process) but he didnt really need a lot of my help to do it. He was able to follow the directions, make the project and in the end the lights are pretty cool. Good product.

> 24 hourI know nothing about soldering but my 11 year-old was interested in learning. I got them a soldering iron kit and this soldering project. The board has been thoughtfully designed and the instructions (pdf provided online) are clearly and well written. My kiddo did a bit of additional research on proper soldering technique and then dove in. I simply sat and watched for safety. It was a great triumph when the final pad was soldered, the switch flipped, and the LED lit up! It was a really fun skill and esteem-building exercise. Highly recommended. Thanks to the designers.

> 24 hourMy 10 year old got a soldering kit for Christmas and was able to use this Learn to Solder kit as a stepping stone to a bigger project. He LOVED doing it and wanted to do another immediately. If you buy this one, buy another Learn to Solder kit, too! :)

> 24 hourIve been teaching myself to solder and I really felt like Id wasted money on a lot of previous learn-to-solder kits, but this one was great. The instructions were incredibly concise and it was a simple and sturdy enough circuit that I was eventually able to get it working perfectly even while making a few mistakes here and there. And, more importantly, the project left me feeling like Id made something cool, something that wasnt just going to sit around gathering dust (the colors are fun, and I keep it in my perpetually dark bathroom closet as a light.) Im really glad I did this, and am intrigued by the other Learn to Solder Kits.

> 24 hourThis was our second Rocket electronics soldering kit. Our son learned just a little more making Hue than he did making Blink, especially when he installed one potentiometer backwards, then had to re-install it (breaking it in the process). Rocket was great about replacing the broken potentiometer, which we then used to replace the broken one. Our son is proud of his accomplishment, and has learned a lot of basic soldering skills in the process.

> 24 hourBuilt just now with my 11-yo granddaughter - she did it all. She just became a Technician-class and has wanted to learn soldering and kit-building.
