Took me about 30 minutes or so as a beginner. The soldering pads on this board are quite small and I dont have a magnifying glass. But I was able to manage and it works great! I could also tell I improved at soldering those small connections. I would take a picture or video but my toddler is running around with it on the color pink, he loves it too!

Excellent kit!! Well organized, great instructions, fun to build—and it works when you’re finished!! These kits are how my nine year-old granddaughter learned to solder. She learned quickly and just finished building an AM/FM radio. Many thanks to Rocket Dept for their great, confidence-building kits.

This was a great kit for beginners. The recommended soldering temps seem a little high but other than that the kit seems perfect.

Bought this for my niece last year and she continues to use it - works well and is decent quality. Would recommend to novice or young person.

The kit was very simple to put together. Ive never used soldering for anything but splicing wires and connecting terminals in cars, and I found it to be very simple. My only issue was that a hole for one of the resistors was plugged. I was able to clear it with a safety pin, but I feel like a quick QC check for things like that would be warranted. Something like that might stop a little kid from being able to finish their cool new project.

Great kit. This board provides for soldering practice at a few different difficulty levels. The resistors have ample space around them for easier access, while the potentiometers and LED require more careful, close-quarters soldering to secure each of their pins.

Found this kit super easy to assemble! Definitely recommend this as a gift or intro to soldering.
