> 3 dayMy nine year old daughter loves all things legos, and this set is the perfect gift for her! It provides hours of fun in building as well as playing with the set. Of course the next Frozen movie is not out yet, but if it’s anything like the first you know this is gonna be a hot toy item this year! Definitely a great gift idea!

Greater than one weekThe set is expensive, but that is par for the course for Lego sets, on a value side I would rate this 4.5. The quality and creativity of the Castle set is 5 stars as always with Lego. The colors, designs and specialty pieces are all very unique and distinct and sometimes even make an adult smile with joy (like the miniature oar). The castle is well design and with re-adjustable floors and furniture should make for plenty of variety. Aside from the castle the other buildings are cool and interesting - although all else being equal I probably would have put that effort into making the castle bigger. On the downside, this is (obviously) a theme set and some of the outright creativity and imagination that can be unlocked with a generic set is diminished. Its also less gender neutral than a lot of other Lego sets which can get more family usage potentially.

> 3 dayThickness and warmth don’t really apply to LEGOs. My 5 & 9 year old granddaughters loved it !! Consider the gift successful.

> 3 dayBeautiful set with incredible details. I really appreciate LEGO marketing to girls. My daughter leaves her sets assembled and continues to play with them for such a long time (unlike my boys who end up breaking them apart), so the replay value here is huge.

> 3 dayI believe my own personal favorite feature with this set is the quilt that lifts up on the bed. I’ve never seen that before, but what a great idea. You can put them to bed and actually cover them up. Fantastic detailing on the characters. This is an indoor toy in my opinion. In my experience, the paint doesn’t weather well. We’ve had some sets left out on the back porch by the grandchildren. A very sturdy set overall and the blocks stay secure. Two of my grandchildren are huge fans and run right for the LEGO sets when they visit granny. They keep them entertained for hours and I love the conversations they have with the characters. They are also too busy and entertained to fight. We call our LEGO sets the ‘peacekeepers’. There are a lot of parts with this set but it’s not overly complicated. Not for toddlers or younger of course, unless there is very close supervision. It has a good height but still not a storage problem. A fantastic imagination enhancer. Great paint job and overall craftsmanship. I also love that the furnishings can be moved around. The children can build their own unique settings.

Greater than one weekLego has come an awfully long way from when I was a child and I must admit that Im seriously impressed with direction that it has come. No longer do you get just the basic bricks and have to let your imagination do most of the work. Now the kits really do resemble what they are trying to. The Disney Frozen II themed Arendelle Castle is a three story castle. The front of which looks like a castle with the towers, flags, etc. and the back being open revealing an attic, bedroom replete with bed and a throne room allowing you to play with the included Frozen figurines. It doesnt stop with the castle however. You also get a small bakers stand, a royal dock replete with boat and a fishmongers stall where the fisherman can sell his catch. The figurines you get included in the set are Anna, Kristoff and Elsa but you also get a couple of birds that can sit on the window ledges of the castle or the fishmongers stall and a cat. Everything you need to let your childs imagination run riot. I must admit that I dont know that much about Frozen but my daughter is a huge fan and she couldnt wait to start building this playset. It is 521 pieces and takes a couple of hours to build but there is nothing that is very difficult about putting it together. The instruction are very clear and easy to follow. This is a great playset in its own right and also a great way to get your children interested in Lego. I played with Lego when I was a child and had some very fond memories of it (apart obviously from standing on the little square 4 bricks which I remember doing). Now my children are enjoying what I used (albeit with much more sophisticated sets). If your child likes Disney Frozen, Lego or both then you cant go wrong with this.

> 3 dayMy granddaughter loves everything Frozen and has many toys of its theme. This Lego set has held her attention - even though it’s complete now, still keeps her attention as she pretend plays with the characters and setting.
