Almost every bag had at least 1 missing piece (total 16 bags), the worst part was the body, had so many missing pieces, that we have to find replacements for. Very disappointed, never had we ran into situations like this with Lego products before.

First of all, this thing is BIG. Bigger than I expected. The set is great and sturdy whether its in the individual 5 lion forms, or the full Voltron robot mode. Either way, it looks great. It has a good price to part ratio. Theres not much more I could ask for. Very satisfied with this set.

This Lego set is one of the most fun to assemble. Not just because it is Voltron, and it truly transforms 5 lions into a single Mech, but also because it has 5 manuals that go with it. So this was a true family event, where my wife and I build concurrently. That is a good thing because 2 of the dragons siblings are pretty much an identical building process (with a few exception pieces lik color). The lions themselves are very sturdy and will hold up well with play. The assembled Voltron unit is slightly less stable, and heavy. It is not very well suited for play. That said, it looks impressive, so we have it on display in our family room. Overall, great build, not too chalenging and awesome display value.

There is nothing to dislike. It’s Friggin Voltron in Lego form and all the pice’s were there. It was a bit bigger than I expected but hey it’s Voltron.

I had a great time building this. It transforms very easily.

A must have for Voltron fans! Very fun build, I’m sad it’s complete. I built one lion per day to drag out the build. Very solid and well designed. Get it if you can find it, well worth the money.

For 2017 it was either the Saturn V Rocket or the Ninjago Destinys Bounty, but this Voltron is easily my 2018 favorite set. Before this my favorite was probably the ship in the bottle for just being unique. How can anything compare to Voltron made of Lego that transforms? An off-brand made brick Transformers a couple years back. I hated them. They didnt transform! You had to build the set as the robot or the vehicle and then rebuild to transform. That is horrible! Its so awesome that this transforms. It takes a minute longer than regular Voltron toys, but its very easy to transform. Ive shown quite a few people this set and theyve all been impressed with the Voltron robot. Then their eyes have bugged out when I showed them it transforms. It takes a lot more work to design a transforming Lego set. Its huge. Its bigger than the original Voltron toys! For Lego, its detailed. The lions look great separate and combined. The four appendage lions are very similar, but they each have their own personality too. It was also a lot of fun to build. The instructions are great. I love how all four lions can be built separately and in different sessions. You get sixteen bags of Lego with each lion build in separate bags. My kids and I built them together and each of them built a lion with my help. It is better to display than to play with. There is limited articulation especially in combined form. The arms have pretty good articulation (whole arm turns, elbow bends, and wrist moves). There is no twist except in the wrist. The legs have no articulation. I believe that is the price you have to pay for a Lego Voltron that stands as sturdy as this. Since I want to display it on a shelf, I prefer sturdy legs. I just want to be clear so its not a disappointment to you. It should make you sad because its still very impressive. The individual lions are more articulate, too. Its a great set. It will be remembered for a long time. I cant think of an official set that does something as cool as Voltron transforming. The closest I can think of is the unofficial Sisyphus build. Voltron is an enjoyable build. Since it can transform, its really cool to display and show off. I totally suggest this!

Ideal for display or to recreate thrilling action from the original 1980s Japanese anime Voltron TV series and the modern DreamWorks Voltron: Legendary Defender series.
