I like having the additional ports, but I cannot plug my backup drive & have it work. I must unplug the hub so the back-up drive can be plugged directly into the port for the back-up, then remove the drive & re-plug in the hub. UPDATE 6/25/21: Have used for months. But, since hub did not plug into electricity, it would not transfer data to my hard drive, & I kept getting an error message that it needed more power. It did expand my one C-type port on my Surface Go for wireless mouse & such. I decided to write Lention about this hub. They refunded some money to me for a different hub. Great customer service even if their hub didnt do all Id hoped.

Been using this for over a month, almost on a daily basis. Pros: Easily connects to my laptop and unlike cheaper models, will fully support having hdmi and usb plugged in all at same time. Cons: When I use this to connect hdmi cable to an external monitor, on the external monitor, some of the icons on the task bar do not show up properly. Also will flicker a lot initially when connecting to external monitor. I tried it with two different computers and two different monitors, same problem when using this dongle. Hence the 4 stars. It works for most part but couple small things here and there. edit: customer service sent new product

I bought it in October 2020. Its no longer working now. Not a long lifetime. Maybe I should invest more on a new one.

As we know Macs dont give you many ports and if youre like me and use a mouse, connect your fitbit charger and connect your ipod, you definitely need one of these. Its durable and keeps everything in one place.

Product does what I need it to do. USB ports seem fast and it looks nice on my desk.

The one port MacBook Air needs some help with extra USB ports! I might also mention that I ordered the wrong model, and there was no problem in exchanging it for the correct one; also, after purchase I was informed of a $5 promotional rebate that I had not noticed.

I bought this hub in September so I could connect a second monitor and webcam to my MacBook. It sit in a stationary position behind my MacBook. Other that needing to plug in a mouse occasionally, the hub was pretty much untouched. I recently noticed it seemed to have developed a short. I teach from home so I used it daily. I’ve tried not to touch it except when absolutely necessary. Today, I tapped my desk while I was teaching and it went out. Ugg! I’m having to teach multiple students in Zoom on a 11” screen. I paid more for this one thinking it was a higher quality.

I havent actually needed to use it yet but unpacked it and checked it out. Very good!

I didnt realize that Apple got rid of all of USB ports on the 2018 model. This is a great adapter that works perfectly. so I can use my devices that require a USB port.
