> 24 hourIt is a decent looking device and certainly works as advertised. It can empty the entire reservoir in one day if left on high, so it can really pump out the mist. It is very quiet and can regulate itself by maintaining a particular humidity level, which is a nice feature. On the minus side, while it can be app controlled, the app is ludicrously bloated and intrusive with endless notifications and advertisements. The hygrometer that it uses to maintain a set humidity gets thrown off wildly when refilling the reservoir making it necessary to set it to low for a few hours to settle it down before putting it back on automatic or else itll never turn itself back on again no matter how dry the room is. The display is either super bright or off. It would be nice if it could be dimmed at night. After a year and a half of use, the plastic around the transducer is being eroded away by the ultrasound (cavitation erosion) but I imagine the only real problem with that is it will get a little louder in the future. But the biggest problem is how difficult it is to clean. Around here, red mildew (actually bacteria) forms in all damp spaces and this humidifier is no different. Thats not the humidifiers fault. But there are so many small spaces both in the base and at the bottom of the reservoir, which doubles as the spout for the mist output, that even a toothbrush is too big to reach them. Also the spout has a noise reducer that can be partially disassembled, but part of it is fixed at the bottom of the spout and cant be removed or reached unless you have a very specifically shaped bottle brush. The instructions only talk about cleaning out scale with vinegar, a problem I dont have, but make no mention of how to actually clean for bacteria or mildew. Ive used diluted chlorine bleach, but that small part at the base of the spout cant be reached so I just pour the bleach through as the last step and its good enough, I guess, but whatever I couldnt reach just re-seeds the bacteria making more frequent cleanings necessary. Every other problem could be chalked up as a quirk, but the pain of cleaning this machine is the reason I wouldnt recommend this unit to others.

> 24 hourI purchased this humidifier last August for our bedroom as we live in a dry, high desert area. It works wonderfully, is easy to control and does the job well. We have been very happy with the purchase. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, we suddenly discovered that the on/off switch no longer operated the unit. I emailed Levoits customer service and they promptly put me in contact with a service representative. After asking me a few questions, he sent me instructions to try to start the unit, but the efforts were unsuccessful. He requested some information about the purchase and the unit, including my shipping address, and responded that they would be sending a new replacement unit. It arrived today and works fine. I am totally satisfied with the product and the follow up service. I recommend Levoit and this humidifier for anyone in need of an excellent product.

> 24 hourThe product seems well made. It is easy to set up and operate also. The app is great too. Gives you more options actually. Also it uses WIFI and not bluetooth and that means you can change settings from any location you might be at. In other words if I was at work I can turn it on or off and use all the settings that it offers. The part that worried me is you can’t just leave water in it for a couple days sitting. I know that’s the sane with any humidifier because of bacteria or mold possibly developing. So unless your room is really low in humidity. (Under 30%), don’t fill it up your first time using it. It can hold about 1.5 gallons filled. Try a gallon or maybe slightly less. Experiment at first because the size of the room and other factors play a huge part on getting your desired results. Make sure you clean it even more often than once a week. Better safe than sorry. You can also get an additional year of warranty coverage by registering your product using the app you can use to control it. Don’t forget to do that because you only have 16 days from purchase date. Overall so far I like the product and the company gives plenty of info. Both in the box or on the internet. Make sure you purchase a hydrometer to keep in the room to measure your true humidity level in the room. I bought an Acurite for $16. Tells room temo and humidity level. So far everything is testing within 2% of the reading. I would buy this product again. But there are other good choices too. The app is what makes this device worth the price.

> 24 hourThe humidifier is great, love all the smart features. I appreciate the large tank on the humidifier, but it still runs out daily. I run it 24/7 (on Auto), because its winter, and my apartment gets SUPER dry with the heat on. Its very quiet, even on max, especially compared to my heater. I never use the sleep mode, but Im sure its useful for some people that are more sensitive to noise. Ive lived in urban areas for a long time, so it could be 10x louder, and I still wouldnt notice it. One issue I had was that I lowered the desired humidity level (on Auto), and it didnt seem to lower the output, so the humidity was higher than I wanted it to be. I had to switch to manual, adjust the output there, wait for the humidity to drop, then go back to Auto. Not sure if this was a one time glitch, or a problem with Auto mode. It only happened the one time, havent really changed the humidity level since then.

> 24 hourIt works great, just not the smart feature. That being the main reason I bought it Im kinda disappointed. The sensor updates too slow shutting off by the time my grow tent gets to 20% higher RH than the target. Ended up causing mold on most of my plants. I fixed it being getting a smart dehumidifier but I would still recommend this for people who dont mind if the humidity is slightly off and would like the app control.

> 24 hourI have owned a few different humidifiers over the years, including the Levoit top-fill .5 humidifier (white round product). This is the BEST one Ive owned so far. It holds enough water to use for at least 2 nights at medium humidity level and works well for small-mid size bedroom. It is as quiet as any Ive encountered--NOT noiseless, but it has only a light hum from the motor and light rippling noises from the water bubbles. I have not noticed any loud gurgling noises from the water that you can experience with other humidifiers as the water moves through the system. You CAN use tap water and Ive not seen any white residue. However, you will need to clean the product every few days (takes 3-5 minutes) with a soft hand towel and the small brush they provide to wipe away the rust/mildew stains to avoid long term staining. Its a reasonable trade-off to make for not buying a few gallons of distilled water each week. This is easier to clean than the small Levoit humidifier, but there are a couple spots that can be a bit hard to access. I dont use the internet app--the manual functions are fine for my needs (turn/on and off and leave on at a set humidity level). One caveat: If you want to use the night mode function to dim the display (which is bright), it requires you to use auto mode rather than selecting a humidity level (you have to use the app to do that in night mode). I solve this by putting a picture frame an inch in front of the display at night--not ideal, but fine solution to eliminate the brightness to avoid using an unnecessary app. Overall, im pleased with the product. It does the important things well: Good humidity, good water capacity, not annoyingly noisy and reasonable to clean if using tap water.

> 24 hourThis humidifier is quite simply the best Ive tried. This winter, Ive ordered and returned about 10 different ultrasonic (filter-less) humidifiers, ranging from Vicks to Taotronics, to other off name brands Ive never heard of but they had good reviews on Amazon. Ive finally found this humidifier which meets all my needs. I must have a unit that is quiet when it comes to sounds, has a good mist output, fills from the top of the tank, and is easy to clean. This Levoit exceeds all. My last few humidifiers of various brands all created a sound of some kind. Ive tried two other top fill types, but they were constantly making a water dripping sound, like a fast dripping faucet in a sink. This is caused by water condensation at the top of the mist tube dripping back down into the base reservoir. This Levoit has a multilayered bottom on the mist tube which diverts the water drops from dripping straight down into the water, thus creating the noise. And being a top fill tank, you dont have to unscrew a lid and turn it upside down to fill. These types create a loud gurgling sound usually every 30 min to an hour. This unit does not have any of those GULP GULP GULP sounds that wake you up. The tank is top filled, so it has a VERY large opening on the top making it easy to get your hand in there to clean it. Again, bottom filled tanks are harder to clean because the only opening you can get your hand into is the lid that you unscrew to fill the tank. This tank also has another clever modification to it on the top of the tank. It has slits in each corner which means when you turn it upside down to empty the old water, any water trapped in the corners have a way to empty out. So being literally, completely silent (including water noises) and having a easy to clean, top fill tank makes this the number 1 for me. The only thing I would mention now that may help you is this: you should download the app if only to set the default auto humidity settings to higher levels. What I mean is, at night, when you press the sleep button to turn off the LED display but to keep the unit running as you sleep, pressing it turns the unit to auto mode. The default problem with this is that if the unit detects humidity levels above 40%, it auto shuts off. 40% to me is too low, so I had to use the app and set the auto goal to a 60% humidity. That way its not constantly cutting off at night on sleep mode. You can ONLY do this with the app. But this minor, one time fix is not near enough for me to mark this down. Best ultrasonic, cool mist humidifier there is for under $100.

> 24 hourI read the reviews but prayed that mine wouldnt leak. It did. I ended up spraying flex spray (or something like that) all around the base of the water container. Of course it clouded up the bottom but it fixed the leaking. I only use it for my plants so I dont mind the container not being smooth. Its very quiet and I use distilled water, a bacteria liquid and have had no problems.

> 24 hourI bought this product to control the humidity in my bedroom in order to help me breath at nights and reduce my dry skin issue especially in the winter. I must say it’s a great product to have with all its smart features, I set mine on a schedule to turn on at 8pm and shut off at 8AM which works great. So far I love it and have no major issues with it, only that I cannot smell the aroma when using the aroma pad. I believe it doesn’t spread the scents around the room I can only smell the essential oil at the back of the humidifier where the aroma pad is located. That’s the only issue I have with it but I still think it’s a great product and I will keep it.

> 24 hourFor the price, is not a bad deal! But I wish it will last longer.
