We travel full time in an RV and this humidifier was perfect for keeping the humidity levels up while traveling through the southwestern US where humidity outside was often in the teens. For most people, 40-45% is comfortable and this humidifier had no problems keeping our RV in that range (about 400 square feet of space). I love my smart gadgets and I really like that every aspect of this humidifier can be controlled remotely AND it can be paired with Alexa to create routines. Generally, we only run this at night while were sleeping and its super handy that I can have it automatically turn on in the evening and not have to worry about remembering to do it myself. So many smart products are limited in what youre able to do with them remotely, but you can control everything about this humidifier right from your phone or by simply telling Alexa what to do with it. The only downside to this humidifier is that it doesnt come with a filter to remove impurities in the water, which means it leaves a layer of white dust on everything. Its easy enough to wipe up, so its not a big deal for us. Also, just as a note, if you have a stove top with propane burners, the dust will cause the flames to burn bright orange. This isnt dangerous or harmful. Just be aware of it. As with every other humidifier Ive ever owned, the digital hygrometer is never accurate. I have always used several hygrometers in my home to monitor humidity levels and I rely on those instead of the one built into the humidifier. As a matter of fact, with this humidifier, I just turn off the display completely and adjust the output and humidity levels based on my other hygrometers. Again...not a big deal and Ive had to do this with every humidifier Ive ever owned.

It does work amd like how it shows the humidity levels however, this is definitely made for small spaces. It says 500 sq ft but I think its better suited for more like 300 sq ft. I like that it doesnt take up much space. Make sure you are rinsing it out every few days! I notice 1 week of usage is too long and there is buildup starting to grow. Also would only recommend soft tap water. If your place is dry this will run non stop so buying water would be expensive. From what I read hard water leaves a white film over your home.

Ive had Air Innovations humidifiers for years and I finally got tired of how horrible they were to clean, and you cant get in a lot of the areas to remove the nasty gunk that built up even after a month, granted I was just adding tap water (and I have good tap water) and would run it 24/7, so I decided to research a totally different one. I bought this based on the reviews as well as what I really wanted. I wanted something large, that was top fill and also decided I would put filtered water in it, so I bought a fairly large zero 20 cup pitcher, as I use them anyway for my drinking water and since the humidifier is top fill I just fill it up every day and only run it at night. I wanted to wait until Ive had a month and cleaned it so I could report. This was hands down SO much easier to clean. There was no gunk or crud at all. I would suggest having some sort of bottle brush or vase brush to clean it with to get in all the nooks and crannies, but I am super happy with this humidifier. It really puts out the moisture and I love the simple dial. Its super solid, very quiet and nice looking and like I said easy to clean. I really am glad I purchased this!

This is a great humidifier. It pumps out the vapor, the app has not failed me once yet and is easy to to use. It does what its supposed to and does it well. My rating stands even though Im about to tell you why its a pain in my ass. My only issue with it is keeping it clean. I change the water and rinse it out every night, and I admit that I dont only put the recommended distilled water in it, only tap water. That is admittedly probably where my problem stems from, but I run this thing so much while its dry as hell in Kentucky this time of year (winter) that I just dont want to have to stock gallons and gallons of distilled water, since itll go through 2/3 of a tank in one night. I keep it set to auto shut off at 50% humidity, well within the recommended range and it still runs pretty much nonstop. Thats not the fault of the app or software, it really is that dry in the winter here. I keep to the apps suggestion of cleaning it once a week, and have even found myself having to do it more than that with the gross buildup of yellow slime all over the intake and all over the bottom section/reservoir and its whole assembly. Maybe our water here is gross. Totally plausible, but man, the water in the bottom of this thing gets gross looking after a day of working. Bunch of mung floating in it that I have to rinse out daily. I admit that this is probably user error, since Im not running the recommended distilled water in it but its just not economically feasible, since itd take a gallon every other day. I know its not expensive, but damn...I dont have space for 15 gallons of distilled water. Point is, this thing works great, the app is great and works fine, love that it can be programmed to run at certain times of day and only under certain humidity levels and it absolutely pumps out the steam, much better than my last evaporative fan-based humidifier that was loud as hell. I guess I just want to say that if you want to run tap water in it, prepare to have to clean it ever other day, because the mung builds up quick and you dont want to be breathing that stuff.

I bought this humidifier for my kids’ bedroom. It does a decent job and I like that I can control it from my phone. However, it has a mind of its own. It turns itself on all the time. I do have it set to turn on at night and off in the morning - that’s not what I mean. I’ll come home from work - it’s on. I’ll turn it off and come back a bit later - it’s on. It’s frustrating. I have to unplug it to keep it off. Fix this issue and I’ll give a full 5 stars.

The item works well, but I don’t smell the essential oil. I tried scents that are strong, but there still isn’t any smell. If you are buying this to replace a diffuser, you are better off getting a separate essential oil diffuser.
