> 24 hourGreat picture. Love the smart projector capabilities. Throw distance is not far so you need to keep the projector within about 12 ft of the screen. So if youre planning on putting this in the back of the room it might not zoom close enough for you.

> 24 hourAfter using it only twice started getting an overheat message. At first it would let you exit out of the message but then it would shut off the unit. The unit was in a completely exposed area of the room, our AC works as well. After the first heat messages I even placed a small fan that would blow on the unit and continue to get the message. The one star is for Amazon and LG. When I went to return the unit Amazon direct me to LG, which was an out of country call whichever one knows is a big pain. Still attempting to return the unit now after spending 20 minutes on the phone with lg. LG continues to push technical support but if I received a brand new unit and had these issues theres no chance I want to stay with this company. Ended up buying a BenQ projector in the meantime, significantly happier with that at this time. Use the projector mostly for late night movies and it does a great job. Wouldnt recommend risking buying this and running into issues.

> 24 hourGreat picture but is difficult to see darker scenes in movies even with all the lights off. Love the smart TV feature. Extremely easy to set up. Spend the money for a higher quality projector screen though. Xfinity stream app does not download onto this device. I had to buy a Roku to use that app. Picture quality is better than my 55inch LG 4K tv in the other room.

> 24 hourThe projector itself had an Amazing picture, and good brightness... However the way my setup is, the Projector became quickly unusable without a feature for keystone correction like the other models... This Projector is meant to be centered on the viewing area. Absolutely no wiggle room.

> 24 hourI had an optoma hz39hdr 1080p 4,000 lumen laser projector previously and this lg hu70la is a considerable upgrade. The 4k dlp chip does an outstanding job of creating a 4k image. Unless you are a picky videophile that can somehow tell the difference from native 4k, youll be impressed with the clarity, color accuracy, and functionality of this projector. My setup: - Dedicated viewing area in basement - Nvidia shield pro (720 and 1080 content on youtubetv upscaled to 4k looks sharp) - 100 silver ticket screen, white - Use Bluetooth from my shield for JBL true wireless surround (no sync issues) My favorite features: - 4k content looks awesome with accurate color and vibrance. HDR content is where video quality gets even more fantastic, especially at this price point. - Pre built picture modes are easy to switch between depending on whats being watched and really bring out specific viewing situations (sports, vivid, cinema, bright room, dark room, etc.). Has tons of flexibility for custom picture tuning if thats your preference to dial things in. - Remote focus on the included remote allows for fine tuning of the projectors focus without having to touch a physical focus dial on the projector - Magic remote convenient and well built - Compact and lightweight, easy to mount on ceiling or even move from inside to outside, if desired Could use improvement: - Would be nice if projector was a little brighter (I am coming from 4,000 lumen laser so may just be used to that), but absolutely no issues with brightness in a darker room and even with little ambient light trickling in. Darker scenes lose a bit of contrast as well but still look great IMO. Just took some getting used to initially. - Keystone/lens shift is limited. I didnt have any problems lining up with my existing screen for a nice image, but I would be nice to have lens shift and horizontal keystone correction to get everything calibrated just right. Overall , I highly recommend this projector as a competitive option for 4k projectors under $2k.

> 24 hourPainful and ridiculous UI set up. Doesnt like to work with firestick well. Although it says its a smart device that quote is very questionable. Often disconnects with other peripherals and you have to start over again. Just by a complete TV set and watch TV more instead of attempting to get it to play nice with others like sound systems and firesticks. When you can get this to work you get a great picture.
