ive been using a va curved panel for years, and i decided to try this one as my new main monitor. both monitors are of course 27 inch, and the color is very noticeably better on this lg monitor. it CAN do 1ms response, but you will get overshoot in the pixels which will result in white shadows around the moving images on the screen, so i keep it at the 4ms setting which doesnt hinder my gaming at all, even in games like call of duty, its not even noticeable to me. if youve been using a curved panel for years, using this flat monitor will likely look like its bent backwards, idk why but maybe its just cuz my eyes are used to seeing a curved display. i also recommend using a DP 1.2 cable if you want to run hdr or any high refresh rate settings but this is just personal preference mostly. just depends on what you want out of the monitor. this thing is amazing, and it fits well on a vesa mount. i recommend this monitor to anyone in the market for a good quality monitor, especially if they like 27 inch panels

I bought this monitor for my new computer which is able to play games at 144hz 1440p. The monitor was easy to setup, looks great and I love the way the monitor itself looks. The 27 inch screen really takes up your whole view while gaming. It looked great out of the box and I have no complaints whatsoever. I didnt even have to setup Gsync/Freesync or configure any settings. It looked and worked great right out of the box. I could theoretically see someone who is REALLY focused on color quality maybe needing to do some kind of adjustment to the settings, but I guarentee for 99% of people its not a problem at all. If you do care about that kind of stuff, find somewhere that can give a more detailed description (like Hardware Unboxed on youtube), but again, I dont think most people will care. I play in the dark sometimes and dont have any complaints about the brightness. If your like me and never experienced playing at 1440p 144hz before (assuming you have a computer that can play at those specs) it was a massive upgrade to my experience and I was not disappointed. The resolution bump is great, but the higher framerate is even better. It makes everything feel much smoother and natural. Youll notice the difference even moving the mouse cursor in Windows. If you are in a position to afford that kind of upgrade, it definitely makes for an improved experience. For 1440p at 144hz gaming in this price bracket, this is an excellent option. I did a lot of research on other options and this was consistently a strong reccomendation and now I see why. Ive used it every day since I got it and loved every second of gaming on it.

This monitor was the cherry on top of a major system upgrade. I was running a GTX 1080, but on an old 4790k, so I made the jump to the 10700k and paired with this, the 1080 finally gets to fulfill its destiny. The Panel: First off, let me just mention how awesome Adaptive Sync is. You GFX card brand shouldnt have to be a factor in picking your monitor. This is my first sync monitor so I wasnt sure what to expect, but all my games are running buttery smooth regardless of FPS so thats working great. The IPS was also a main attraction, as my last AOC monitor was my first IPS panel and I loved it. The fact they make gaming panels with it now is fantastic. Its also REALLY bright, like burn your retinas bright on white pages on stock settings. Bottom line, the picture quality on this screen and everything Ive loaded on it has looked beautiful so far. As far as response time, honestly I dont pay much attention to that, so if youre looking for how accurate the ms timing advertised is, I cant help you there. The Stand: So, the stand confused the hell out of me, because I was trying to find a height adjust before attaching it to the monitor, but when Id lower it, itd pop right back up. Turns out its balanced perfectly with the monitor weight and that pressure just holds it at the height you want. I like mine at lowest setting and the stand hasnt raised it under pressure yet. It supports tilt and rotate, but not swivel... which I dont need, but find odd. IMO less things to break down. Accessories: The good news is, they include a DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB cable which the software for the monitor used for hardware updates (mine was up to date out of box). The bad news is theyre all short AF. I get that most people dont need longer, but people with a larger desk area or that want to do proper cable managemnet will need to provide their own longer cables. Conclusion: Very happy with this monitor, wish I could afford 2 more for a triple setup. Shipped with no damage or dead pixels, so thats a win.

I have other monitors. I had some in the 160 hz range and others in the 144 but they were maybe at best first or second generation monitors. I had some that were curved and most of them are flat and they worked great for the time that they came out the newest being nearly 4 years old now. But THIS monitor is different. It has all the bells and whistles that a modern gamer would need as well as being a better format than standard monitors in my opinion. It is simply amazing. Sure there are 4k monitors at the higher 244 hz standard but you gotta pay a lot for them and this is a BARGAIN for what you get. I mean by far the best I have ever owned. Install is a snap. Looks great in HDR mode and when playing games in RTX mode there can not be enough words to describe how good it looks. It is simply amazing. Worth every penny I spent and got chewed out by the wife for. I may be in thee doghouse but with this monitor the Doghouse is not so bad!

This is for the LG 27GL850-B Nano monitor. I wish I had bought an IPS panel sooner. Everything is so much more vivid and clear, and the monitor has very little light bleed (I have a small bleed in my top left corner I almost never notice). Mine came with no dead pixels, which finally broke my unlucky streak of first-new-monitor-always-has-dead-pixels. The joystick menu is the best monitor menu Ive ever used, its fast and responsive, and is easy to switch inputs or turn settings on and off. This monitor doesnt have hardware G-Sync, but the G-Sync compatibility does make a difference, especially if a game you play is prone to screen tearing or sudden frame drops. Being able to drop frames but still have pretty smooth gameplay feels much better. This monitor also doesnt really have the hardware for true HDR, but whenever something allows me to turn on HDR, everything still looks more vivid. Not quite what a real HDR monitor will hand you, but for 1440p 144hz and (almost) G-Sync? Im willing to put up with it for the price. Doom Eternal on this monitor utterly blew my mind. Im very happy, and might buy a second one soon. My current second money looks so gross next to this one.

Its a decent monitor, it does what it says, and its defect free. Its not as nice as my old Shimian QH270, which I bought for a similar price in 2013. That also used an LG produced screen from that time. Unfortunately, that monitor died and I had to replace it at an inopportune time. Right now there are a plethora of options for 1440p+ monitors available, but thats only due to corner cutting in quality control and using lower quality panels to meet the induced demand. This LG panel, like many others available, does boast an impressive refresh rate and responsiveness that puts those old panels to shame. This makes it a good purchase if your focus is on gaming. However, the color has not noticeably improved over the past decade from other IPS monitors. Moreover, the contrast ratio is quite bad, certainly noticeable worse than my old screen, a bad feeling for a product with eight years advantage. Overall, I would recommend this product. The fact of the matter is, there arent a lot of options better than this at the price. LG is a quality manufacturer still, so you can trust youll get a screen in good working order, which is better than you can say for many other options. Comparing with its contemporaries, that makes it a worthy purchase. I just lament that I had to buy something during this trough, but hopefully screens will get better in the future, rather than just easier to find.

The brightness and the picture quality are awesome. Really accurate colors. However, Apple silicon macs do not support 1440p. So you either have to use betterDummy to workaround the HiDPI issue or just move up a notch to get a 4k display. However, you will need to pay a lot more to get a 4k display with this kind of color gamut.

Amazing picture and quality out the box. Very crisp. I would rate it a 9.9 out of 10. There is slight ghosting if you set the response rate to Faster in the monitor settings. HOWEVER, I did not find ANY benefit at all with this setting so you are good to leave it on Fast(Default) and there is no ghosting on that option. Not sure if overclocking it 165hz fixes that but I dont need 19 more hertz. Like some reviews have pointed out, the monitor gets recognized by Windows as a sound source despite no speakers but thats a Windows thing I think and the monitor does smudge pretty easily if you touch it. No big deal either. Overall, the monitor is great. I have been on the market for one and have spent a week looking at all the options on Amazon and this one was a great choice. If you are looking for a good IPS monitor, this is it! Will update if anything comes up in the future.

No complaints. And Im using and hdmi. Will change to display port soon. Keep in mind. I was on a Samsung curved 1080p 60hz monitor before. This blows it out! Just FYI. Coming from a curved screen to a flat. Its like the flat is curved backwards because your eyes cant make sense of a flat screen. Lol no points taken for that. I expected something weird. So yes. If you are using a 1080p. 60hz. This is a HUGE step up in my opinion.

The level of responsiveness that makes it a good fit for casual and competitive gaming. The 1440p resolution offers a crisp and detailed picture with 120hz on my Xbox Series X is just beautiful. Setup is really easy to do, even though I went ahead and got an arm for it, but the stand is great to use. The monitor is great for work also, as it provides 2 HDMI ports and 1 DP port. It also has a USB hub, which i dont use but hey, its there. The price here on Amazon, goes up and down, I missed out when it went as low as $296, so i got it for $346. Still a great purchase.
