I made my first PC build a couple of months ago with this case, and after all these months of having it, I don’t regret buying it. It’s not difficult to manage everything you need in it. It’s very forgiving for the sizes of your parts (and I have a questionably sized graphics card). Very easy to wire manage and being a simple design that’s easy to customize. I don’t regret buying it.

The lancool 205 is an ultra budget, completely barebones case that is priced as a mid range/semi-premium chassis solely off of its brand name. Unfortunately it only besmirches the reputation that lian li has built up through its other cases. This case lacks 360mm rad support, a mesh front (airflow is definitely a concern for this one), and rubber grommets for cable management, which is quite disappointing for the general price this case is usually found at. The build quality on the 205 isnt great either-- some of the thinner metal (especially near the PSU basement panel corners) in the removable panels bends incredibly easily. Additionally, the thumbscrews dont all go in straight either on my unit (the panel and main chassis are misaligned). Dont get me wrong, it is a functional case that will likely meet your needs, especially if you are a beginner builder who doesnt particularly care about airflow or wont be opening the case up to do maintenance often, which is the only reason I didnt take off more stars. But quite frankly there are strictly better options available for the same price (cooler master, phanteks, msi, etc. all have better offerings at the ~70-80 dollar price point so just take your pick).

Simple case design with no rgb and decent cable management. Plenty of space up top to get the cpu power cable through unlike the corsair carbide spec 02. Like that there is a shield for hiding away excess cables. The screws that hold on the panels come all the way out so be careful to not lose them. The hdd holder can be completely removed for extra space below. Only 2 fans but that worked for me as the mobo only had 2 chassis fan connections. But has room to install 2 more upfront. Dont like that there isnt a reset button just a power. The instruction booklet is very simple and mostly just pictures. Would have liked something more substantial. And all the screws are thrown in one baggie so make sure you use that right ones. Overall not a bad case especially if you can grab it on sale.

I bought this case for slim down a little from my corsair 4000D. This case looks nice but when assembling it I could immediately tell the build quality compared to the corsair case is really sub par. I had to take my motherboard water cooler etc out of my case just to get the stupid usb cable attached. It is nice that my motherboard has the side slotted usb header but this case has no room to get it through. The panel screws fall out anytime you have to take a panel off and they fall out onto the floor. I just buillt a pc in an rgb rosewill case that is $56 and is far better than this piece of crap. I honestly may send this back and get a corsair again( sold off my 5600x to build 7600x pc) The main reason I bought this case is for the Name. Lian Li. My sons dynamic mini is awesome. This case is very un-awesome and it should be $45. I wanted to have a quiet pc for audio recording and this was supposed to have really good airflow. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to matter as even with 240mm aio for my 7600x it still goes to 90c which is normal. If anyone reads this seriously consider a better case. This case is below the nzxt 510i as far as I am conserned as well.

Although the case is small, there is still plenty space for long graphic card. I have I7-10700 and 5700XT and I have no heat issue at all. The magnetic filter is a big big plus for me. It is much easier to clean dust. But, there is a tiny bad design. Once you install the dedicated GPU, there will be a big hole on the slot, which was covered by a piece of metal if you dont install GPU. Overall, this is still a good buy from Lian Li
