04-06-2025Great little pen case. I initially purchased this item and three others in different colors to hold all of my pens and to take them to the Miami Pen Show. I later found a Monteverde 36-pen holder that is much better for that purpose. This pen case is for pens and school or office supplies. And for those purposes it is excellent. Its got multiple compartments and two zippered compartments to hold things like paperclips, erasers, etc. When I went to school 25 years ago, we had lockers. In South Florida, those are gone. Students have to carry everything with them. These are perfect for carrying supplies in a back pack. A few other reviewers have mentioned a smell. Based on that, when I received this item, I opened it up and let it air out for 48 hours. No smell. I want to point out that none of these pen cases had the kind of smell that some others have complained about, but some of the colors did have a smell that, again, went away after airing out the pen case for two days. Watch the price on these things. They can fluctuate 50 cents to a dollar. That may not be much, but when the item only costs between $9-$11, its significant.

> 3 dayI bought this for my fountain pens and sample bottles of ink for travel. The picture shows the inside flap sewn on the left side of the inside of the spine. However, mine is sewn on the right side. This means there is extra space on the pen side, but its tight on the side with mesh pockets where the inks and extra stuff go. The case is stiff, but Im sure it will soften as it is used. Other than the flap being on the wrong side of the spine, its excellent for my fountain pens, sample inks, and accessories.

> 3 dayThis case is great! I needed this because trying to use all my various pens & tools around my cats was tricky. Sometimes I want to work in my sketchbook on the sofa etc. We have three cats & 2 of them are new to our family. They are just under 2 & very curious & playful. This case keeps my pens & supplies very handy. Not only are they not as tempting to the cats but I can easily transport my kit anywhere in the house or outside. The added bonus is that I can keep my pens in order making it easier for me to find just the pen I need, instead of loose in a big box or bin. Plus it holds more than just pens & pencils. I can carry extra leads, erasers, everything I need. I actually like that they did not use stretchy elastic bands to hold the pens. I like having a big open slot that I can fit any thickness pen through. I dont have to worry that the bands will stretch out over time and get loose as I pull pens in and out. There is extra room after you fill up the slots and pockets. I can see a small sketchpad or notebook fitting inside. Will be great for traveling! I purchased the orange color so I can see it easily across the room or in a pile of stuff. Plus, I like the color orange and this pouch is a nice shade of pumpkin orange, not too bright yet vibrant. Im now thinking of buying other colors to make specialized kits of supplies for different purposes, each designated by the color of the pouch. The material seems sturdy, similar to soft luggage material. Sewing looks nice and clean as well. I do have some suggestions for the manufacturers: 1. I would love the zipper pulls to have a snap to keep the pull locked in place. My new cats LOVE to bite and destroy zipper pulls including metal ones! So having these two dangling zipper pulls is super tempting. The case does not need two pulls to function so one pull with a snap to keep it open & a snap to close would be awesome. Plus, there would not be any jingling noise to contend with. 2. A bit of padding in the lining of the front & back of the case would protect the contents more from drops & crushes. 3. I want to get this in various sizes all the way up to super large!! One that will also fit a big sketchbook and all my supplies for traveling. These really are fantastic for organizing all your stuff. I am very happy with my purchase and with Prime it arrived very quickly.

> 3 dayThis is just what I needed and the quality and size are very, very good at this price. In fact, I have never seen one more suitable for traveling outside of my home with my basic art supplies than this wonderful little bag. You can put pencils, erasers, sharpener and whatever you need in this one handy little bag. It has enough compartments to keep all of the essentials separated and easy to get to. When I am out sketching I dont need 40 pencils just to sketch out something. I dont even need that many at home so this is perfect for me. It should hold 10 to 15 pencils easily. This bag is so nice and has so many features, including two external pockets, that I am probably going to buy another one to use with my camera accessories. The only drawback is that it has a peculiar smell to it that I assume will go away in a few days. If not I will wash it out by hand or throw it in the washing machine.

> 3 dayA great case. Ive fit -10 pens/pencils plus a slim x-acto on the front inside -8 pens on the front of the flap -eraser, spare lead, spare ink, and spare pencil parts on the back of the flap -11 markers/pens and a brush pen plus a small ruler in the back inside The concern you should have is not will it hold all my basic necessities but rather do I have enough basic necessities to keep things from sliding around/out. Its smooth on the inside and none of the straps/nets have a lot of grip, so your tools have to hold each other in place. Thats not a downside, per se, but just something to keep in mind. If you only have 5-6 pens and you buy this, you might then be tempted to buy 20 new pens just to fill it. Also if you feel like youre prone to knocking things over, and you leave this lying open, some things might slip out and potentially get lost/broken. But its durable, stays clean, hasnt jammed so far, and is itself very light, which is good because it gets weighed down quite a bit once its full. The jet black color option LOOKS great, too.

06-06-2025After reading several reviews on this product, I decided to purchase it. Many of the negative reviews were due to one reason- odor. I hoped that mine wouldnt smell horrible as they described it, but it seems my luck ran out. the second I opened the packaging, I was hit with an awful smell- one that I can only describe as a car that has had cigarettes smoked inside it several times. I immediately isolated the bag from my other products (which still smell a little funny), and stuck it inside a closet that I never use. I let it air out overnight, and it doesnt smell as horrible now, but its still there. I suspect that given a few more days, it wont smell bad at all. The closet now reeks a little as well, though, so Im thinking of letting it sit outside for a while. I hope the smell clears away soon so Ill be able to use it without garnering negative attention from my peers for making the room smell like nicotine. That, and I dont want to have to throw it away like some of the other customers did- I spent eleven dollars on this. At the moment, the odor is a bit weaker. Its very strong if youre close to it. Not so much if youre a few feet away- its just a light odor thatd make you turn your head, wondering what it is and where its coming from. It is, however, a nice pencil case. The middle feels a bit flimsy, as if the mesh could rip out given that you shove enough inside of it, but thats what the bigger mesh is for. I couldnt cram my eraser in there (sadly), so it had to hang out with my brush pen. The middle section also doesnt zip into the bag very cleanly- one of the corners stick out (depicted in the last picture). The products front- where the two pockets are- is also slightly frayed near the bottom (I can see two tufts of white thread sticking out). The case feels a bit cardboard-ish, so Im hesitant to stick it into my backpack along with my textbooks for fear of it getting crushed and misshapen. The zipper feels very sturdy, though. I can see myself bringing this along when I go study in the library, but Im (like I said before) not too sure about bringing it to school. Ive read many fabulous reviews on this product, praising its quality and the ilk, but it seems I got the shorter end of the stick. Id say its a twenty-eighty chance that you get a bad one like mine, since everyone else seems to either be able to deal with it or not have any problems with the smell unlike me. Herere a few pictures. I bought the brown model. Its not as dark as I wouldve hoped. I was aiming for a rich mocha color, but it looks a bit like diluted coffee. Its still pleasing to the eye, though.

> 3 dayThis is a pretty sizable pen case which will hold around 7 regularly sized writing utensils on each side. If you do have pens which have very small or tight pen clips, you may find it difficult to insert/remove the pens because there arent any elastic loops, rather just two rows to attach pen clips to. Also, a pen may not fit if the top of the pen is far above the clip. For example, the Pentel GraphGear 1000 fits, but not well on either side of the case. The pockets on the back of the middle flap are honestly too small and arent elastic enough to fit things more useful than a few tubes of extra leads or cap erasers. The large pocket on the back is decent, but theres nothing except empty space above it which leaves that space a little useless because theres nothing to secure items in place. Overall, the product is good looking and has decent build quality, but has a few usability flaws which leave some to be desired.

> 3 dayI like this pencil case because it stores so many pens and pencils. I managed to fit all of my pens in here. The only problem I have is that sometimes it’s hard to put pens back in due to the little straps it has. I keep correction tape and an eraser in the last section of the pencil case, but it creates a bulge. So, it messes up my highlighters being stored on the other side of it. It looks sorta funky. Overall I do like the pencil case, so it gets 4 stars from me.

Greater than one weekI bought this in high school, it was really cute and fit in my backpack really well. It did rip on some of the folds but it held nicely for a few years then I never used it again because I graduated. However, I did buy a green version not too long ago and it was really nice! it felt like the way they remade it was with different materials. I still would recommend this to someone even if I dont use it much myself.

> 3 dayI bought this to carry my type I diabetes supplies (insulin pens, blood test meter and strips etc. I also vary a couple glucose tablet tubes in here, along with some other accessories. It is a compact, well divided space for all of my essentials with nice zippered compartments. I needed something this size to fit in my crossbody shoulder bag/ briefcase for work. After my journal and planner get stuffed n, there isn’t a lot of room for anything bulky. This case fits perfectly.
