Greater than one weekI had one of these that I had purchased from JetPens, and I filled it with a ton of art supplies to carry with me in my bag, or on my travels. My best friend was always saying i need to get one of those!...so I got it for her! This bag has SO MUCH ROOM. I keep an assortment of pens/pencils (about a dozen assorted), about 6 small paint brushes, also my waterbrush, a small bottle of water, and a little water mister, 2 erasers (one with a pencil sharpener included), a small metal ruler, a small pair of scissors, a small box cutter, a small roller cutter thingie, a bone folder, 4 washi sample cards, several paper clips, several sheets of watercolor dots, a bunch of flake stickers, a glue roller, and im sure theres more in there but I cant remember everything. Im sure the thing weighs a couple lbs, but I dont mind as I have really anything Ill need! Its just a vault! Its compact though, so it still fits easily in my bag.

> 3 dayI will use this to store my magnifying glasses. I have several strengths to use for reading & needlework. My 3 pair fit in nicely, and keeps them all in one place. I just received it today, cant comment on durability, but appears to be sturdy. I also see this being used to store a set of small tools. Looks like it would be handy to store travel-size personal items when travelling.

Greater than one weekI had to sharpen the Ticondroga pencils way, way, way down to get them to fit inside. It was a waste of pencil to make this work. The pouch needs to be larger to accommodate actual unsharpened or newly sharpened pencils.

> 3 dayThe case feels very sturdy and holds up well. For a college student carrying this in their backpack to hold pencils (mechanical and traditional), pens, markers, sharpies, highlighters, was random slips of paper, and erasers, it has proved to work well and be very durable. It has lasted through nearly two full semesters of college so far with no real issues and no sign of falling apart. The only (possible) issue is that for regular pencils, the case is not long enough to hold new pencils with pencil tip erasers, but the case has plenty of room to store the erasers off of the pencils.

Greater than one week2020 edit: the black version I originally reviewed in 2017 is still in use, looks great, zippers are fantastic. The blue one I bought in April of 2019 however just broke: one of the zipper heads fell off. While I can still use it, it seems like theres a quality difference between the versions with the black logo and the ones with the red logo. YMMV. Pros: * Lots of storage for a variety of sized objects * Flattish design (as opposed to the tube design of many pen/cil cases) * Dirt resistant material is easy to clean * Can use for a variety of different supplies: medical, tools, art, food, utensils, toiletries * Zips open to lay flat Cons: * Materials that pockets and flap are made of limit what can be stored * Interior color is drab * Zipper pulls are thin and can be hard to grip This is a nice case, but not as nice as I was hoping it would be. I purchased the black version which has a brown interior. The brown is more drab and darker than it seemed online (think dirt instead of leather), and I do wish it was a bit brighter, but its not bad. The material is somewhere between canvas and vinyl, and looks very nice. It seems to be dirt resistant (rolled it around outside and on my dog) and wipes off easily. The flattish design helps this fit in messenger bags and briefcases or other flat carry bags more easily than its rounder cousins. The flatness and the zipper that goes around 3 of the 4 sides makes the case lay flat when completely unzipped, which is especially useful. The zipper pulls are thin and smooth, and arent easily gripped by large, wet, or arthritic fingers. Id much prefer traditional round zipper pulls for virtually any storage, but especially if using this as art or medical storage. Lots of pockets and storage options, however the pocket lips arent stretchy and the mesh is only a little stretchy. It makes it difficult to store things that are awkwardly sized in the pockets. In addition, the center flap that serves as a separator also serves as storage. This becomes a problem because of the lack of stretch; filling both sides of this flap causes obvious bending of the stiffening material the flap is made of (see photos). These pockets seem to be designed to hold mostly thin, flat things like stickers, paper clips, lead, school erasers, etc. In my test, I put a Staedtler eraser, kneadable eraser, roll of washi tape, and a cheapo school eraser in these pockets, with a set of Copic markers on the other side. There was noticeable bending of the center flap making me wary of putting anything else in these pockets, or anything differently shaped/sized. This limits the effectiveness of this product for many artistic (or other) uses. If the pocket lips were stretchier and the flap was stiffer, this would be a non-issue. The center flap pocket is also not a rectangle, but more of a rounded rectangle. This makes the left and right sides of the flap have a shorter vertical storage space than the middle of the flap, so it will definitely limit what might be able to be carried there. I could fit only 5 Copic markers; a 6th would have stuck out and prevented the case from closing. See my photo; I have only 5 there, but you can see near the bottom of the photo [left side of the pouch when vertical] how the curvature of the pocket would prevent more being stored. The outer pockets are best for small, flat things that you wont mind that they might get lost. When fully packed, I couldnt put anything substantial in these pockets, and because they dont have any stretch Id be wary of putting anything not flat in them anyway for fear of breaking the seams or stretching the pockets out of shape. However, if I were using this as a desk storage pouch (as opposed to a travel one) these would be great pockets to store erasers or small rulers or post-it notes. For the price, overall its a nice little storage case. I hope this review helps someone else!

> 3 dayI use it as my go-to bullet journal aupply case and traveling sketch case. I fell in love with the color and the amount of space it has. Holds all my essentials without any damages and stores easy in my bag!

> 3 dayThe pencil case is incredible. Perfect for organizing your stationery and having a lot of it at once. The problem I had with it was that it lasted a little over a year before showing tears. I bought it in June of 2018 and now is September of 2019. It could’ve been my pens being too big or me having too much stuff in the case, either way, with such durable material and the price being $10-$15 depending on the seller, it should’ve lasted longer. I know people who had this case for years and years without any issues but mine just didn’t last as long. Would buy again though.

> 3 dayReally REALLY great. Best pencil case Ive found and used in my last 7 years or so of arting. It can fit long pens, markers and pencils as well. No problem-o. When items such as pencil sharpeners as placed in the pockets on the backside of the flap, the flap bows which is unfortunate. I have been putting the sharpener just resting above my travel palette because it is the perfect size, but it does tumble out when I open the case which is not ideal. But this only discernible con thus far after 3 weeks of use. I love that I can see all of my pens and pencils without them thumbling about in a one large pocket. I can also fit a small palette for my gouache and 2 water-brushes next to it in the back pocket. I often find myself just opening it to survey the troops. They are poised and ready for action. Wonderful soldiers and friends. Update: After about a month of daily use (it goes everywhere with me), the fabric on the piped seams is fraying slightly and beginning to wear down on the corners...not great. This in addition to the floppy/bowed nature of the flap have caused me to down-grade my review to 4 stars.

> 3 dayI am a huge organization freak so this was an exciting purchase for me. I ordered the color coral because I didn’t want one with a brown inside (this has grey). It can fit 8 pens in the inside pocket comfortable. 9 pens if you don’t mind it curving slightly to allow that final pen in the slot. NONE of the bands are stretch which is kinda annoying if you want to fill up every space. Also not a big deal though because then it would stretch out and become loose. The mesh pockets seem tight enough that whatever you put in there shouldn’t slide out. And if it does, well it’s a zipper pouch so you’re covered. The material feels very durable as does the zipper. Tiny little outside pockets people seem to use for post it notes (unsure if I’ll do that as I couldn’t handle the crinkly edges). Plan on adding pencils, flash drive, paper clips or whatever else comes up that I think I can shove in here. This is the “standard”, not the double.
