I had this keypad professionally installed about 3 years ago. We have only used it 20 or 30 times because we mainly use remotes. It recently started to send a constant signal to the gate opener causing it to freeze up. I called tech support and they will not even talk to me without me agreeing to a minimum $50 charge. I will be taking this piece of junk out and replacing it with a product from a company that knows how to treat its customers.

Easy to install and program

We have 12 of these units around our property and they work great, both for man gate and vehicles gates. The problem comes in when we need to replace one, as we have over 100 codes. If you use the standard 4 digit code, as we do, that is 27 key strokes for each code... Do yourself a favor and use or buy a 12 V power supply, strip the leads to bare wire, and hook up the AK-11 on your desktop for comfortable (no bend-over) programming. Once done, disconnect and install the unit in place. You still need to punch in all those codes, but at least you can do it in comfort in your office or at the workbench. Enjoy!

The first one I received did not function properly. When the programming mode was exited, the LED did not turn red to indicate it was ready to accept my key code. Instead, the light turned green indicating it was receiving data entry. I sent it back to Amazon in exchange for another new one, and this one worked as it should. When Amazon replaced the faulty keypad, it cost me nothing. When ordering electronic equipment you should keep in mind that things dont always work right even when new. Even if you can buy it somewhere else for a little less than at Amazon, their exchange policy on electronics pays off. Im not a shill for Amazon, and I dont own any of their stock (unfortunately). Im just a satisfied customer.

Purchased Mar 11, 2018. It has stopped working. Says product has 24 month warranty. Called Linear to see about returning for replacement. Linear SAYS I MUST deal with Amazon since I ordered thru them. When I go thru returns process on Amazon item shows NOT TO be returnable. SO MUCH for 24 month Warranty. CANNOT get to talk to an Amazon customer REP because THEY DONT SHOW A HELP PH NUMBER. VERY aggravated with AMAZON. We buy a good bit from Amazon BUT NOT ANY MORE. TO chicken to put a help phone number on website. THAT IS SORRY customer service.

It was an exact replacement of the one that got run over by car

I bought this item as a replacement for the identical item for my self-storage business. The original finally gave in to the outdoor elements and it was just time for a new one :-) And a great replacement it is! Thank You!
