Works great for adding a little shine to acrylic paints.

I like the matte finish best. It really seems to put a finish to the painting.

As I said I love it and use it quite often I just wish they would have better sales on it cuz it is quite expensive.

Helps keep paint from drying out when mixing with my acrylics . That said, I’m a beginner.

I had been having a problem with my acrylic paints drying too fast that I couldnt blend them as much as I wanted, so I decided to see if this product worked like it said it would. I was so pleased to find that it really prevents the paint from skinning over on the palette and allows blending on the painted surface beautifully. I have been trying to paint a picture of my grand sons service dog as a gift for him and was really frustrated with getting the fur color right. I wanted a cream undercoat with reddish gold fur mixed in on the surface. This spray was the solution I needed and a rake brush. I could spray the section I wanted to blend in the darker fur, then move on the next section and do the same. The wetting spray made the surface very workable even if it had start to get a tacky surface. I dont know if it is supposed to dry to a gloss or if I just used so much of the spray it dried to a shine but I was very happy with the surface after it had dried. Over-spray dried as little dots on my table, but they came off with a damp sponge that had a pot scrubber surface on one side. After the first time I learned to be more careful about where the spray was going.

Im definitely a Liquitex fan now! Im buying all of my sealers from Liquitex from now on! This Ultra Matte sealer is just that - SUPER matte! And a little goes a longggg way! Thank you, Liquitex for existing and solving all of my sealer problems!
