> 3 dayThis may have taken a total of 5 minutes to set up. Plugged in to my existing low voltage landscape lighting transformer, paired with the bridge quickly, and then programmed my light to come on at sunset and go off at 1am. The app is very easy to set this up. I also installed a wall switch for my front porch light, same thing, with programming, very easy. Plan to add a side garage light and window candles and then all my exterior lighting will come on at same time. Cant rate longevity, and I dont have it set up with Alexa or any other voice activated stuff, so I cant rate that. So far Id highly recommend it. May not be the cheapest, but it set up so easily Id happily pay a few extra bucks.

> 3 dayThe Lutron outdoor switch has much better range than any that use WiFi as a link to the switch. The Lutron is accessible via WiFi so it works well with Alexa etc, but it uses a bridge to communicate to the outdoor switch. It’s much more reliable for long range (distance) applications. Now if Lutron will add dimming capability it will be perfect.

> 3 dayAfter having returned a couple of less robust outdoor wifi-enabled smart plugs that just didnt work, thought Id give this very pricey option a try. Although its a bit bulky, the unit feels very solid, should indeed survive Ohio winters. But as the product description more or less makes clear, there is no scheduling/ remote function built in to the unit, you must buy the Lutron Caseta Bridge to get that. So I did that, too, bringing the combo price to around $160. Better be built like a tank for that price! The Bridge installation was anything but easy, resulting in the one-star rating there. The Bridge saw my wifi but refused to accept the password to connect, and so could not load the software update that is required for operation. I got online with the Lutron chat rep, who very patiently went through a 45-minute process first to get the Bridge to connect to my network, then to be seen by the Lutron servers. Finally got it up and running after many steps. So five stars for Lutron service, but that kind of odyssey should never have been necessary to get the smart plug to do what it is supposed to do in the first place. Oh, and the schedule programming is a bit wonky - you have to create one entry to turn the device on, then another one with a different name to turn it off. Would never have understood this without the chat reps help. So if you have the patience to endure what could be a prolonged setup process, this is a great unit. If you want ease of operation, maybe youll be luckier than I was; maybe not.

> 3 dayI use this with Homekit and it works great! I needed a plug I could use with my 3d printer in the garage so I can turn it on and off remotely. Its pricey but it has never not responded yet.

> 3 dayAlthough just a few weeks in to its installation, this Lutron switch has performed flawlessly. No issues with Wi-Fi connections. Installation was easy on to an existing smart bridge that has a few other lights installed. Overall, reliable, solid and easy to install

> 3 daySimple integration. Works well. Wish it had a right angle plug and was shorter. Also costs too much.

> 3 dayLutron makes the most reliable and highest quality devices. Yes this outdoor plug is expensive but it is built to last and will be the last one you ever have to buy. My last smart plug was a cheap alternative and failed after a month in southern heat. The Lutron handles the heat perfectly and is built like a tank
