> 3 dayThere are a number of surge protection options available so you may find one more to your personal liking but this one is pretty nice. For piece of mind, it doesn’t hurt to have extra surge protection. The plug will even let you know if your outlet is incorrectly wired before you connect to your camper. The design is well thought out - there is an easy grip handle to make plugging and unplugging easier. The protector has a weatherproof cover to provide extra protection to your camper/RV cable when plugged into this device. It comes with a cleaning cloth and an extra plastic rain cover/parka to keep the pedestal dry. The kit also comes with a lock and keys to secure your surge protection from theft. As an added bonus they included a metal anti-theft cable. At $48 MSRP it’s not a bad choice.

> 3 dayThis works exactly like a standard outlet polarity/ground checker, with the added benefit that it provides surge protection and that it is in line with your power source. Installation of this is quite simple, just plug this into the power source you will be using for your trailer/RV, read the lights to determine if there are any issues with the electrical, then plug in your RV/trailer power electrical cord into the device of all is ok, at which point you are also getting surge protection. It comes with a lock/cable to secure the device but I frankly dont see the value in it. If someone is going to get close enough to steal this from my trailer/RV, the lock/wire will not be enough of a deterrent, in my opinion. One item that was a bit of a mystery to me is that it came with a large clear plastic bag, not entirely sure what this was for since no instructions are included beyond whats on the sticker of the plug, and box.

> 3 dayProduct looks good. Only thing is that it seems too expensive for a normal cheap iron lock. I bought another from Komsepor brand a week ago which came with a convenient number lock for only $59. I would rather prefer Komsepor for the price!

> 3 dayThe product arrived quickly, but you can tell its obviously used. Plug and cable dirty and scuffed box weather cover had dirt in it. Lock and cable were shoved into bottom of box and keys were separated and rattling around the box. It appears some people recieved a yellow cleaning cloth (or something simar) with theirs ,I did not. Theres a cardboard backer with twist ties to hold the surge protector in place inside box while being shipped, nope. Not attached to it with ties. I tested the circuit with my multimeter and everything seems connected internally. And the blue surge protection light is on when plugged in. Ill update if it melts or kills my rv. Ill test it on my old hunting camper first, Im not stupid.
